🕑 Added 2023-10-13 21:35:09 +0000 UTCIt feels like talking about Sammy makes him feel more... I don't know, present? I've been able to keep him going but it's about time to make some hard decisions. He's doing great today, but he's been given a ticking clock of two weeks. To boot, who knows how much of that two weeks may be too low quality of life for him. This coming week, I will be making arrangements to have him... even just typing the words is too much right now, but you get my meaning. My eyes are rarely dry these days.
On one hand, I can't imagine how I can focus on anything but him during this time. On the other, I think working will be a welcome distraction during the time he is resting. I still plan to release some more small updates during this time, but please forgive me if I instead feel the need to take some self-care. If you guys have pets that you love, please show them some love for me.
I'm sure some of you don't want to be bummed about my dog posts, and because I don't know how soon my next post will be, here's another progression image from SotS.

Take as much time as you need losing someone dear to your heart is nothing that anyone can easily shrug off. We are no machines and working through all of this and afterward can help but in my experience the quality of my work suffered and my mind went elsewhere. Dealing with the new reality and changes to your daily life is something I would take time off for. Heartfelt regards from me and my parrot.
