You carry all the comments you get with childhood trauma. They dig in and it is hard to take in any form of kindness because it goes against what you've been told throughout your life. Despite everything that has happened, Colt deserves that kindness. He deserved it decades ago. And Lola is the best person there to give him kindness with nothing but love and honesty.
