What I’ve been up to lately...

To start, I’d like to say a massive THANK YOU to everybody that’s already pledged to be my patron (that’s you!) - to already have almost 100 of you here already in less than 24 hours pledging to support my work means so much to me. It really does make a huge difference. I’m really looking forward to building a lovely community on here, so please do spread the word. I spent some time replying to all of your messages last night and it proved to me that Patreon really is a great place to connect with you all personally.
So, with that said, I thought I’d fill you in on some things that have been happening behind the scenes, both professionally and personally...
Right now, I’m listening to Davey (I assume that if you’re here, you already know I mention my partner non-stop, so we’ll skip to first name basis) record some bass and guitar for a new song I wrote the other day. It’s called Ridicule, and it details a ton of personal growth. The other day, I had somebody I considered a close friend cut me off out of the blue, with no warning. Unfriended, unfollowed, totally removed from their life. I sent them a text wishing them the best, simply saying that I wish they had come to me to air any grievance they had before making that decision. It turns out that following a disagreement back in September, they had sat on their feelings ever since (despite us speaking many times after that and being fine) and made the decision to have a ‘fresh start’. Needless to say, I was really hurt. Please don’t do that to someone you’re upset with, folks. Please talk about your feelings and confront them kindly. Ridicule isn’t a song you’d find on Villains, making myself out to be the victim and the other person some big enemy. Instead, Ridicule is more about letting someone you cared about go free, whether you expected it or not. The lyric “whatever makes you happy” really stands out to me as a testament to how far I’ve come with dealing with rejection and fallouts. It may be a while off until you hear it, but I’m loving it, and I’m very proud of it.
On a more personal note, I’ve been following a diet and exercise plan. I know that celebrating weight loss is a big debate right now, and I recognise that some may be sensitive to the discussion, so please skip this section if you feel you may be affected. I was at my heaviest weight ever a couple of weeks ago, and it was really beginning to affect my health and self-esteem. We’re always told that “your weight shouldn’t affect how you feel about your body” but the reality is, that isn’t always the case. I’ve actually started doing sit-ups and press-ups (I couldn’t do one when I first started!) and have been eating healthier, and I’m in a much happier state with myself than I was before. I’m currently just over 9lbs down and I’m finding myself able to do more without getting instantly exhausted.
I’m planning on making some exclusive videos on here over the next few days. I’m going to try and find one of my old beauty channel videos and see if I can find an old makeup/skincare tutorial to react to (I know, reaction videos are the devil...) because I remember what I used to do and it was so bad! Besides that, if you are a Vault+ member, please do feel free to message me with more video ideas for Patreon! If I like the idea, you’ll get a shoutout at the start as a thank you for the suggestion. If the video is absolutely blindingly amazing, it may be uploaded to my main channel after a certain period of time has passed.
I hope you’re all well and staying safe, no driving hundreds of miles across the country or visiting castles to test your eyesight (if you’re from the UK, you’ll know what I mean...)

Oh I know that situation well 😔 at least you have a better outlook on situations like this than in the past, and better more it’s providing inspiration for more new music which can never be a bad thing haha :)

If I'm ever stranded on an island and I can have 1 beverage 1 book and music, it would be Boone's Farm, Feel Good 101, and all of Emma's music. I just joined and wanted to get the sucking up out of the way early. LOL. I really do love everything Emma does or I wouldn't be here hopefully helping support her in a non-alimony way. ♥
