Project 99 Gets Itself a Name (and a Logo)

So what's all this then?
- A Tactical Dungeoncrawler- unleash your instincts and wits in sprawling dungeon compounds, breach doors with grenades, subvert security systems, steal enemy intel and rescue hostages, all from the viewpoint you'd expect out of a classic Wizardry or Shin Megami Tensei game.
- Build your squads from a roster of eight unique Operators, each with their own specialties, abilities and stories to discover.
- Become the leader of a 99 Outfit: create your character, the Colonel, the one who's looking through the team's eyes on your monitor in the command vehicle, along with your own staff of officers and analysts, and your own ability to issue Command Orders in combat to do everything from alter the team's fighting formation, to calling down orbital bombardments.
- Explore the Freelands across three acts of a narrative-driven story, from its shining, near-Utopian space-colonial cities, to the shadowed underworld that lurks under its foundation and at its fringes, to the ruthless Outlier reaches where money and violence are the only laws, all the way out into its most obscure realms, where the galaxy's most rare forms of darkness dwell...
- Immerse yourself into a Futurepast universe, where ultratech solutions to science fiction problems come with phosphor CRT monitors and Model M keyboards attached. Digital and analogue, steel and carbon fibre, shadows and grime, neon and glowing radiation, muzzle flares, explosions, fireworks and oceans of suspiciously-skunky smoke- welcome to the Section 99 aesthetic.
- In other words, I've got work to do.

The Rastorguev AR-1984 "Locksmith" - For When a Locked Door is Just Problem One...
So what's the angle here? Short version is, I've had RPGmaker MV for a while, toyed with it, goofed with it, played with the really interesting (and *vast*) breadth of plugins, and well? Why not? If the games industry proper got to grind me out, I should have as much right to do it to myself as an individual.

Text box theming, complete with typically Well Adjusted 99er Dialogue to test it with.
Kidding of course. If what I wrote up there sounds like a bit of an endeavour, understand that as someone that worked where I did and suffered under its weight, Feature Creep in my mortal enemy, and keeping numbers low and significant is my goal with this project. This won't be a game that sprawls with open world content, but one that rather marches toward goals- almost a mission based structure, but with a little more freedom to roam and walk around than that.

If you know me, you know I love it when people pull off well-executed fake brands in media. So, y'know, watch me try to do my own cool flip, too.
In short, have you been looking for a game where you kick doors, get into firefights with fucked-up freelance supersoldier companies, shoot tanks with plasma cannons and fight the menace of the sickness in your own head? Perhaps all while doing it in an old school dungeon crawling perspective? Well stay tuned, I'll have more to show you soon.
