Couple of quick thoughts. -UPS is actually in a lot of trouble. They haven't updated their distribution network in about 45 years. Most of their DC's are run on circa 1978 analog machines. I read a story about how UPS Corporate was never willing to invest capital in updating. Now it will take billions to catch up to FED EX and Amazon. -MCU Phase 4. I don't think they know what their going to do long term. I see Phase 4 as a random Hodge podge of Marvel properties thrown out to placate the unwashed masses. -If "Spiderman: European Vacation" doesn't bank a $billion, Sony taking it's ball and going home. Dumbest fucking idea ever, Sony. I wouldn't be surprised if that's a real situation. -Jay and Silent Bob Reboot: SNOOGINS! I'm glad you laid out the storyline. Sounds awesome! -The DCEU is a fucking disaster. I'm sorry, it's a train wreck. You can't do movies in different universes and not explain it to the audience. "Which fucking Joker are we watching this movie?"..."Well, you see, there's 52 Universes and THIS Joker is from..."..."AAAHHH!"...Shut the fuck up! Your confusing the Normals!

This SDCC definitely had a different feel. Marvel's booth was tiny, probably the smallest I've seen in a decade for sure. DC had almost no movie props, was mostly just pushing TV stuff and cartoons at their booth. Traditionally Marvel and DC have always been set up right across from each other right in the middle of Comic Con. This year DC was back in a corner, near Funko, so that again added to the overall oddity of the show. I think Comic Con peaked about 3 years ago...ever since then the booths have been getting smaller and smaller while more things are being done outside the convention center. So less content but more people, and more bastard scalpers roaming the lines.
