I'd rather have a messy break-up than Joyce hiding about it. It is too much of a trope to be hiding behind someones back and makes it even worst in the long run. Just say it and get it over with. It will hurt but it is the only realistic way they can come away from this better off.

Before the next update: As funny as it was, Joyce accidentally sexing Joe instead of telling him about Dorothy should not become a running gag. I loved when Joe got straight to the point and asked Dorothy if she was into Joyce. Joyce has to use hard logic: if she does not tell him now, he’ll find out from someone else, and that will hurt far more. That’s not drama, that’s just cruel.
