One of the biggest reasons I wanted to watch the MCU was to work my way to Tom Holland's Spider-Man films, and this did NOT disappoint! I can't wait to see what comes next :)

Good catch on Uncle Aaron! A lot of people miss that connection because it's so subtly referenced. Also, the scene where Peter is trapped under the rubble and sees the reflection of himself with the broken mask is a pretty accurate re-creation of a comic panel. Tom's acting got me emotional there too. You really see him as just a kid who, despite having superpowers, just needs some help. And of course Spider-Man always gets back up. Loved how excited you were about this one, before and after. 😊

I also mentioned this earlier, you should check out Chaos Walking (2021) & Uncharted (2022). They are both great movies with Tom Holland in it.

I love the villain in this movie. His villain name is The Vulture. Michael Keaton just carries anything he's in. He's scary sure, but he's really understandable as a villain with solid motives. He got shafted randomly by Tony, and held some hard core resentment. What he does is wrong, but I can't completely root against him to be honest. Tom Holland is really good as Spider-Man and gets better with every appearance. Can't wait for Thor Ragnarok!

Happy Friday, Addie! 😊 This is a great birthday present, your reaction to the the first movie in Tom Holland's Spider-Man trilogy. Fun Fact #1: The part in the beginning when Tony said, "that's not a hug. I'm just getting the door" was improvised by Robert Downey Jr. Fun Fact #2: The voice of Peter's suit A.I. Karen is voiced by actress Jennifer Connelly, who is married to Paul Bettany who plays Vision/JARVIS. And she played Penny in "Top Gun: Maverick". Love seeing RDJ in this one. We got just the right amount of Tony Stark in this movie. And Tony and Pepper are now engaged. Ned is one of my favorite characters. Biggest plot twist of this movie: The villian turned out to be Liz's dad. Love that scene at the end between Peter and Toomes. And of course, love Zendaya as MJ. Next up, one of the best movies: "Thor: Ragnarok". 😊
