Joshua AKA Spider Man

Ok cool

Byrd N. Hand

She already has. It'll probably be up tomorrow.

Joshua AKA Spider Man

Watch Man Of Steel first before watching Batman VS Superman Dawn Of Justice

tgriexterminator

who own s th e ultimate version? not paying fior that copy, already have one

ButtercupsTrueLove

It's a toss-up between the Ultimate Edition and the unlisted people's choice of 'this movie sucks so it don't mattuh'. I've not watched any version of "Batman v. Superman". So-o-o... in the immortal words of Rob Reiner's mom when it comes to Addie's movie pick, "I'll have what SHE'S having!"

Matthew Folmer

Honestly, skipping the vast majority of the Snyderverse wouldn't be the worst thing. Man of Steel was okay, the first Wonder Woman was pretty decent, and the first Aquaman movie was good. Pretty much everything else with Zack Snyder's input was various flavors of garbage.

Byrd N. Hand

Abstaining your vote is the only way to go in this occasion.

Ed Garland

OK, Thank you.

Byrd N. Hand

She just added it to her Letterboxd, so yes.

phillip giroux

Can I vote for neither?

Joe Blankenship

I'm not crazy about it either. I kinda wish it had just been a solo Batfleck movie.

Joe Blankenship

I voted for the shorter one.

Alex Vazquez

Please remember to always check for END-CREDIT SCENES just like the MCU!

Nathan Swapp

With Snyder, always pick the extended versions. The dude can do visuals but needs extra time to make the story more complete.

Phil Stubblefield

@Thats MR. Baldamort I *knew* you would step up to the challenge, kind sir! 😁

Phil Stubblefield

TBH, I enjoyed Wonder Woman (2017) very much! For someone like me who never read the comic books (oops, graphic novels!), I enjoyed seeing the backstory (or "a" backstory), and I thought Gal Gadot knocked it out of the park.

Aldo Gonzales

I wish you had seen the extended edition of Days of Future Past.

Ed Garland

OK , Thank you for explaining and both your comments.

The Dingo

I never said it was the worst movie you've seen. Just that I don't care which she watches because it was one of the worst that I, me, myself has seen. Not sure why you think I think my opinion is everyone's opinion.

Thats MR. Baldamort

you β‰  everyone

Rich

The Snyder Cut is justice League. Ultimate edition is BvS

Rich

Yes

The Dingo

Neither; one of the worst movies I can recall seeing

Ed Garland

Addie will watch Man of Steel Before whichever Dawn of Justice version, she goes with correct?

Doug

No strong opinion on this one since they’re both on Max. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Ed Garland

Confused...is The Ultimate Edition, NOT the same as the Zack Snyder edition?? Or is it one and the same, just referred to without the "Zach Snyder" here?? Thank you ~

Doug

To be fair, while there are definitely some not so great DC films, there are some good ones (in particular I think Wonder Woman, Shazam, and Gunn’s The Suicide Squad are all very good!)

Julian San

I usually always recommend the theatrical cut because it’s the film everyone first saw and knows and is used to. But this directors cut really is a better movie and a more complete experience.

Glenn Houtchens

Since you also recently watched The Watchmen, may I also recommend that you review The Doomsday Clock series, where the Watchmen enter the DC Universe? It is available from Comicstorian and Comics Explained on you tube.

Kyle

I don't think the Ultimate Edition makes it a good movie, but I'd say it's definitely the better version.

Byrd N. Hand

Yep. Beyond "Superman," "Superman II," "Batman," and "Batman Returns," I really don't care about any of this. I hate that Addie is even considering going further beyond those movies into DC. But at least DC did a better job at catering to Gen-Xers like me, what with those aforementioned movies as well as the SuperFriends TV series and its subsequent spinoffs than Marvel ever did (beyond The Amazing Spider-Man and His Friends, what else was there for us? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ).

Thats MR. Baldamort

ME I will, how dare you 😬

Kyle Brandon Sanger

'BvS: Ultimate Edition'. There's no doubt about it. The rated R version is the only version in my opinion. Afterwards, my advice would be Zack Snyder's 'Justice League' is the only way to go. Josstice League is a travesty. I love the Snyder trilogy.

Future_Boy85

The Ultimate Edition does give you more story but it is super long (No Pun Intended). Zack Snyder is notorious for his long movies and even longer directors cuts. In my opinion the theatrical version is fine to watch. Plus, I'm willing to bet that not al lot of people got the Ultimate Cut.

MattTheHazard

You need the ultimate edition for everything to make more/better sense in 'Zack Snyder's Justice League', which is another long watch for a movie, not that it's bloated.

Shawn Goforth

I gotta go with neither as well.

The longer edition provides crucial detail as to why the whole scheme with Lex was cooked up to begin with. It was a baffling decision to remove it. Frankly, even with it things are confusing.

KingGoji94

Both aren't great imo

Phil Stubblefield

Does it matter? Is any DCEU movie worth watching? (Yes, this is troll... but who will still feel compelled to respond? πŸ˜‚)

Ryan

I was hoping to see”Injustice” πŸ˜‚

Diiirk706

Neither.

Chris Shine

I miss Henry Cavill, he was perfect as Superman 😒

Randee Carreno

Happy Tuesday, Addie! 😊 I would definitely watch the Ultimate Edition. I personally like that one better than the theatrical one. Have a great day today! 😊

Randolph Tirazona

Superman 3!!!

Brian Leonard

Except for the Daredevil movie, I never recommend extended versions of movies.

aarswft

Ultimate. There’s a whole subplot that doesn’t make sense otherwise.

Alex Tan

Happy Tuesday, Addie. My vote belongs to the Ultimate Edition. In 2021, director Zack Snyder and colorist Stefan Sonnenfeld of Company 3 remastered the Ultimate Edition of BvS. That's the version that's on Max and it even has the IMAX scenes preserved in the full 1.43:1 format. In conclusion, that's the version you want.
