Random sort-of-not-really spoiler for this episode, that pays off later - the doctor that Ted meets at the hospital, the treated Dr. Sharon, is Roy’s sister, Phoebe’s mother.

*I am not sure how they did this - but as you stated, there is some very deep, emotional stuff being examined in this show but after an episode, I am not depressed - Sad, emotional at times, yes - but not weighed down. The show is able to blend the drama with the humor and visa-versa so well. *Baller move by Sam, send the address but be at her house; If she comes out - you know she is very interested too. if not, well- that says it all (note his address, it is his user id on Bantr (I guess both their user ids on the app are references to You've Got Mail)) *On rewatches, the scenes were Ted references his dad play very differently after this episode. *in case anyone wasn't aware, the scene at Wembley Stadium before the game as Ted address the team is a homage to a scene in Hoosiers.

Yes, they did film this episode at the real Wembley Stadium. Apple's got a ton of money at their disposal (Warner Brothers Television actually produces the show, but Apple is the one bankrolling it).

Yeah, this one really brings the waterworks. If Roy hugging Jamie doesn't get you then Ted's reveal about his dad surely will. It's heartbreaking to know that Ted's been carrying that around for so long.
