Yeah well, that would be awesome if the past days didn't teach us an entirely different story... First high profile adult creator to get suspended his account was Mr. Dots. He's writing which is probably the most tactful incest game of all times (Dating My Daughter). After a whole year of development, with monthly updates, the plot has finally got to the point of the daughter giving a HJ to his dad... That alone could give an impression of how respectful and consensual the sex is in that game. But Patreon didn't give a shit and suspended his account all the same, until he "sanitized" his front page, and now the game is called DmD and every reference to incest has been removed. Consensual or not. That was amazing enough at the time because Patreon promised to check on every INDIVIDUAL case, before acting. So I tried to be positive and thought “It must have been an error...” And then, two days later, KstGames was also suspended... What the fuck man!? “The Twist” clearly states there is no blood-related incest in there! Both the protagonist and his sister are adopted! Are they blind or something?! So, they're NOT looking into each case individually as they boldly claimed. They're just shooting first and "asking" later to fucking "sanitize" your front page, and who knows if the next thing they'll do is to actually download the games to see if there's something you're hiding in your public Patreon page... :-P I'm NOT putting up with that. Moreover, I'm not accepting I can't include blood-related incest in my game, nor bestiality or even a double-dicked demon ravaging a lizard hatchling after killing his mother in the damned village nursery! I won't do that, okay? But if I'm feel like creating that stupid 2D FANTASY event, there's nobody stopping me because it is legal to do so in the country I reside (we still differentiate between reality and fantasy over here…) and I'm not hosting the actual game on their servers. In fact, if we could leave the place altogether we’d do that, but there’s one thing to build a web server out of the blue and another thing to do the same adding an ecommerce infrastructure as well. But who knows in the future… The only thing I know is that they’re not even following their rules. Why should I follow them myself…? :-(

You know I heard that patreon is specifically pointing these rules towards people using their website for porn such as online strip shows and not so much actual artist as long as you dont cross any extremes like bestialoty or stuff including children..

Well said! I'll have to keep an eye on the changes you are making, and see if perhaps doing something similar for my own projects in the future would be a good idea. Always enjoyed the LOK games. I'm happy to hear that you have a viable alternate to the current chaos.

Political correctness gone haywire! It's really unfortunate that it has come to this, not just on Patreon, but with other websites like Youtube to drop a well-known example. Moving all NSFW content offsite seems like the most logical response. Hope all goes well and I think we all understand the frustration.

Totally agree, this guidelines are terrible. "and child exploitation (i.e., sexualized depiction of minors)" she is 300 years old vampire i swear. "This is especially important as Patreon welcomes different communities with different sensitivities", Blow me, i live in Russia and here most people are religious to them gay people are terrible and not normal. Same with lolicon outside of Japan. But just because something is not to pleasant to someone doesn't mean it harmful.
