Bank payment processing problems

We creators (in general) are experiencing again a high volume of declined payments, just as the past month. Maybe not as bad, but definitely not good.
In our case, we're down a 11% at this moment.
I won't throw a fit against Patreon, like last time, and will take long breathes hoping all gets sorted out. Nevertheless, "hoping" is not a reassuring word when your livelihood is in the line, so I kindly ask you guys that if your bank has rejected the payment, please either try to tell them to go through with future retries, or better yet, that you switch your payment method to PayPal.
If you don't want to, please be advised of this information we've got from EroDev Discord server...:
- American Express cards may not work to pledge to patreon based on what region you're in; if you use it and it isn't working anymore, then you'll need to use another card, OR link your card up with PayPal and then use PayPal to pay, using your card through PayPal as a middleman.
- Pre-paid cards don't work anymore either as a direct payment method; however, you might be able to link it through PayPal as above, but it's unlikely it'll work TBH, you will likely need to link a card that is linked to a bank account OR link a bank account directly to your paypal.
I don't know if this applies only to US patrons or not. At any rate, we'd be grateful if you try to take some steps to help minimizing this loss, that I very much like to hope it won't be the norm. :-/

The problem with resourcing to one-time direct payments is that you still wouldn't receive your reward status for that month, because Patreon does that on its own. We creators can't choose who is Peon, Bloodbound, etc. :-/ We're looking into other crowdfunding platforms at the moment, though. There are some promising ones.

is there a way to do a full payment for an amount of month? I'd gladly pay ahead of time if the amount per month isn't coming through

Does anyone else have the problem where only a few of their pledges go through while the others don't?

This is very random, guys. As some people say, PayPal works while cards not, others don't have problems with cards but they can't pledge with PayPal. We're still at an 8% of declines, which is four times the normal, and that represents needing to pay our writer from our own income. If this continues like this, losing a chunk of patrons every month... well, better not to think about that. :-/

this is the first time im having issues, mine went through the last time but not this for any of my memberships
Personally, I just did not have time to make the necessary amount of money on the card. I use Visa. Now I transferred the money without any problems. (Лично я просто не успел внести необходимую сумму денег на карту, вовремя. Я использую карту Visa. Сейчас я перевел деньги без проблем. )
I was having the opposite issue, of where my PayPal won't process at all but card seemed to work

i dont know myself i keep trying to make a paypal but uhh ive been trying for 3 years and i just cannot gat it linked with anything so i kinda got fed up with it and im an EU patron
