I don't think you could fit all of this detail into a normal size mat. If you did it would be a blurred mess.

Sold out in 1-2 hours is very impressive. Mondo has limited popular items that would take days to sell out and some even don’t. And their sales are open to the public, not a limited audience.

It might be a little more expensive, but you could frame the playmat, but that might also be to big. With frame would be close to 54" wide.

It went slow cause there's no guaranteed quick flip easy money. That's why sorcery blew out in minutes. Now every patron timmy is going full paper hands with the amazon warriors promo card on ebay.

As the younger gen X and the millennials get older, their incomes should grow and eventually they'll inherit the wealth of the baby boomers( I understand not everyone will but alot of people will). And with that being the case I imagine they'll spend even more money collecting/investing in the things they love. I imagine mtg and pokemon(especially wotc era cards) will only only go up in price as the people who grew up 90s have larger sums of money too spend on them. My father was born in the 50s and has been collecting rare coins and comics since the 60s and never stopped he has been retired for awhile and all he does is golf, bowl and go to coin shows a few times a month, I imagine the same will continue for my generation( millennials).

To be fair, last time was also $400 instead of $170..... effectively valuing the 2x judge promos at $230. So that sale also wasn't worth it to anyone who didn't really want the playmat. I actually think the approach of offering just the playmat, for a lower price, is the better model.

I was really tempted but just ended up not figuring out what I'd do with it. I don't play paper Magic much anymore and it is freaking huge. Are you planning to sell any prints we could frame and hang? Because I love the art.

Last time you had mats you included judge cards. This one was just a bigger mat for 6x the price of a normal mat for a big and gorgeous matt, but not anything super special vs. the great artists you can get on Etsy for $30 (for the record I still bought one).

MTG players are getting old … many things that were collectible once are no longer collectible … where will mtg be 5/10 years from now when the average age of players is 50? 60?

It's also only appealing to those who already love Antiquities..... which is sadly (but understandably) not everybody.

To be fair, it’s not the most usable/versatile item as it’s quite large. And it’s also not an obvious “investment” like many sales. I appreciate it though.
