I had no idea this controversy was going on! I can't believe how some folks have reacted! Sir Paul is, after all, 81 years old. As a 72-year old, let me say that referring to some new technology in a way that creates confusion is NOT UNUSUAL for our generation(s). If AI helps keep folks listening to (the real) Beatles' music, long live AI! As always, your insights are reasonable and helpful.

Hi Elliot, really interesting video. I teach the law of AI at University and this is something that is really becoming a live issue - and there is much that is misunderstood (which I think you have cleared up). The difference between a proposed AI 'restoration' of a song (Now and then) and AI 'replication' (e.g. hearing Paul sing Beach Boys songs) is that restoration is a legitimate tool to enhance existing creativity. Like you, I am not keen on the AI generate songs - they are curios and lack artistic legitimacy. What I am really excited about is the possibility of AI restoration being used to bring the Live US Tour recordings to life. A recurring theme I think we will see is that AI will be a powerful tool for restoration and enhancement - but once it starts becoming 'creator' we'll see the true limitations. I was gonna say, I was thinking this video would be a good one to make public because you made some very good points about AI that should be heard. You also did a good job at explaining the misunderstandings given the Paul situation.
