Either we use the original handle the bell came with, and Nurgle it up a bit...
We could create a more "swingin' bell" themed weapon with a big chain...
OR we could match the vibe of the sword and do a rotting tree vibe.

How about a stick for the handle, and maybe some smaller chains on the stick? Maybe even the small chains have bells on them?

The stick with the chain attaching the bell would be great. Like a sort of flail.
