That's the intention! Maybe the wording could be cleared up a little bit, but it's meant basically make you (for lack of a better comparison) an anime character teleporting across the battlefield.
I love this pact, it's given me a ton of ideas for a new character. My one question is concerning the final feature on the list. Can you layer your eldritch blasts in such a way that synergizes with the feature? In that you can use wondrous step more than once AND any of your eldritch blasts can instead be a melee attack. For example, I have four blasts. I use one to wondrous step to an enemy, then melee attack them with my second eldritch blast. Then I use wondrous step on another enemy with my third eldritch blast. And with my fourth, I melee attack that enemy. Does that work, or am I losing the plot?
