Horror elements?

That's a great idea and similar to something I have planned. There will be some repercussions for abusing vampire powers later in the story.

Likewise I voted for a lot more, but only if it is directly focused around the MC. For instance, if the MC embraces their forthcoming vampire nature I think they should have a "drink deeper" option to drain non-story-essential lovers dry to increase their power - but this path should lead to a dark story conclusion even if the MC uses their power to fight a greater evil - and in some cases abrupt bad endings could occur if the MC tries this anywhere they could be caught or linked to such heinous crimes.
