I’m so glad you noticed this!!! That was actually the exact reason I had Celia go with, because even though Celia trusts that her dad is a safe man she knows Catalina would feel uncomfortable and unsafe. I was going to explicitly point this out in this chapter, but I decided to make it more subtle!

I’m so glad Celia is escorting Catalina to the room. Even if her dad is physically carrying Catalina, due to Catalina’s trauma she does not feel safe to be alone with men. I think that’s a nice touch that Celia is going as well even though she and Arias are still handling their liquor, haha. I really hope Catalina and Osora become besties. They are both so similar in how they act and few so intensely (other than their lack of attraction for one another). I do think Catalina seems to be forcing herself to like Osora as she always frames her attraction with future hangouts with Celia or safety from cishet men.
