Sorry for your loss. I know how it feels to lose pets, some people see them as replaceable but to the rest of us, they're family. We view them as no different than a human member of our family. Lost 3 of them (1 wasn't technically my pet, was my brother's, but he always came around and became my companion). Always cherish your moments with them, and to get as much history(photos, videos, statues, pawprints, other memorabilia, etc) as possible with them to make sure they're not forgotten. I got a picture of my pet engraved into my wallet, for example, so I can always remember him.

OMGosh Keaston 😞 That's pretty much what we just went through. It was like a $6-8k surgery with a 50/50 chance or let her be pain free and free 🙌 She brought so much joy and happiness to our family from the very start. Our pets are out family too🫶 Thanks again Keaston 🙏-M@

So sorry for your loss. I lost my little buddy just over a year ago. It was Christmas morning that he fell ill. It was totally out of nowhere. Took him to the vet a few days later, and they discovered that his kidneys had lost 75% of their function. Any procedure would've just delayed the inevitable, and we didn't want him to suffer.
