JelloApocalypse

I did a full review here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/81093609?collection=67759 I have a ton of issues with the second half of this show.

FUZZYFREAK

maybe a bit off-topic, but since i've never seen you talk about ranking of kings anywhere else - why do you think the 2nd half of the show drops the ball? i personally thought it wrapped up the show nicely, and combined with the treasure chest of courage it tied up basically every loose end i had lingering in my mind (including the demon and miranjo being childhood friends thing which is something you mentioned isn't explored). also, is there anything which in specific tipped you off to miranjo and bosse having romantic relations? i ask because (emotionally at least) i remember the surrogate daughter angle holding more water to me while i was watching the show (though i'd have to rewatch the show to make a proper argument) anyway, great video :] paid 15 dilla to watch all your opinions and i don't regret it, cheers to the great content!

PurpleIsDebeste

basically every op at this point is a favourite of mine, but I have to give the ultimate shout out to And Yet The Town Moves for giving jello and yam an excuse to move Blend S down on the list

1:18:37 What is this bit from? This "birthday party - blink - hospital - blink - birthday party again" skit?

Vic Cutting

Wait why isn’t there a star next to mob psycho, you literally say what the final boss is and who beats them (also banger list, wish bluelock made the cut tho)

CallistoDragon (ALT)

so weirdly enough i have actually seen xam'd despite not owning a playstation as a kid. from what i can remember most of the show isnt all that amazing or anything, but theres this part in the show where the main character kinda gets stuck in his monster form and loses his memories. during that he gets taken in by this nice old grandma character whom is very explicitly projecting onto him about her grandson that has never once visited her, and it turns out that the grandson is the main antagonist. but that was my favourite part of that show because it was really slow and boring and kinda sad in a way that to like 12yr old me was super interesting.

Brevin

Honestly, fair enough. I think it was in one of the streams you did on YouTube of watching anime openings, and i donated asking you to watch one or two of them. But, if you have no real strong opinion on it, that makes perfect sense

JelloApocalypse

I am gonna be honest I have zero memory of saying this and have no strong opinion about this topic because it's a thing I do not have a history of engaging with at all

Brevin

This is a weird question, but it's something that's been sitting in the back of my mind for a good while, and I just gotta ask about it. You've said before on stream and some other places that you're not a fan of tokusatsu, or shows like Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Ultraman, etc, and I get that, it's not for everyone. But what confused me was that, during one stream, you said you thought Kamen Rider openings were "goofy" or "weird" or some similar phrase, and, again, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I'm curious as to what about Kamen Rider or similar openings you don't like compared to anime openings. From how I see it, they're very similar, if not the same, just one is animated and one is live-action. Hell, a lot of them are made by Toei, an anime studio, and clearly take inspiration from other anime openings for their visuals, so I'm curious about why you don't like them.

Elated Megalodon

No joke, I upgraded my membership for this video specifically because this video has the Soul Eater op, and I needed to hear you bag on MY freak pick for favorite anime

dollqueen

Love princess tutu & pretty sure everyone who has seen it is happy it made the cut at all let alone as high as it did

Ignis Astrorum

I know I said it during the original stream but thank you two so much for doing this project. Since watching the stream I've become so much more consious of details in OPs like credit placements and transitions. Love this stream so much and cant wait to rewatch it 40 more times.

Crimson Claw

I've always done that. I basically swore off OPs 10 years ago because I'm too aware of symbolism and can usually see WAY too much from watching them. If I bother to remember I'll only watch the OP if it's the last episode of a season. The only thing that's changed by watching these videos is going from a 6/10 hating credit placements to a 7/10 hatred for them.

Crimson Claw

I love at 1:45:00 they're all guessing what's going to be #2 or #1 and VeenanNorvius is thinking it's Brave Shine. Like sure, maybe they didn't go back and check what already appeared but it just show's an example of jello's thesis about Fate/ fans being rabid for that opening.

PrettiestBeardedLady

I think the only problem with this project of yours is now I'm going to hyper analyze every new anime OP I watch XD
