Alright, this is the Handy Manny retrospective you’ve all been waiting for! So Handy Manny’s a lot like Bob the Builder, but instead of construction vehicles it’s general tools. It also was a show teaching kids Spanish, much like Dora. As a kid I loved Dora, and didn’t care about British people, so I always thought of Bob the Builder as “diet HM”. Also I lived in a very Spanish-speaking area, so HM felt very homey in that sense. Also compared to Bob the Builder, Handy Manny was way more interested in showing kids cool things about day to day objects, and it further made me curious about making crafts and doing things around the house. Manny would fix a sewing machine and I’d go “wow that’s so cool! I wanna sew now, gracias Manny”. It was very rooted in reality and lowkey, so it was a vibe. In conclusion: Handy Manny’s the greatest show ever made, and I’m glad he survived

To be fair theres like a bunch of old school magical girls that are mainly about the changing outfits/secret identity aspect that I just havent watched because they are pretty boring to sit and watch through.
