I think it’s been 2-3 years since Thorfinn made his oath of no more violence (they just time jumped from their first months on the farm to about 3 years later and they’re about to be free), so it’s not like it’s being tested practically the next day (though it feels like that for us). I have no idea where the story is going either, but I think we could see multiple “trials” where Thorfinn’s pacifism gets tested and it still be compelling (maybe some backslides, and/or he amends it to only self defense/defending friends/loved ones, etc), or the story could shift to something else altogether (maybe still related to the same kinds of themes though?), I’m excited to find out. You’re pretty much caught up to the rest of us “anime only,” waiting each week for the new episode to find out what happens next
