I think Arthur's fake-out death was in the back of my mind when I thought of my strategist vs. tactician take. It's an unmatched example of thinking on your feet imo.

I liked her too. You're right, something is off with Michael. I think its the actor. He just doesn't have the charisma of the rest of the main cast. It's gotta be that because the dude can act. And its not the writing because he's gotten plenty of interesting things to do and his relationship with Polly has been fascinating, and he's been very consistent. So I think its just a matter of personal charisma.

They definitely got me when I first watched this episode, it never crossed my mind that Arthur’s death would have been faked (Tommy’s reaction really sold it imo), so I don’t think I was ever happier to see Arthur walk in to a room lol- then I was immediately sad in the Alfie scene, but it makes sense. I’m not sure what it is about Michael, I don’t hate him, but I just haven’t been able to warm up that much to him, I almost would rather he died than John (but there’s more story potential with Michael I guess). I was sad when John was killed, but I think what I’ve missed most is Esme, who understandably hit the road with the kids to get away from the mess that killed her husband, but she had some spunk to her, I kinda liked her.
