The Laena and Viserys scene didn't actually shock me for some reason. Because I was under the impression that they were talking about getting married in the far future, when she was older (like at least Alicent's age). But yeah now that I'm thinking about it, that is a shocking thing to show on TV.

I didn't get spoiled by book readers on anything that happened in season 1 because I was staying off the internet back when it was coming out for whatever reason. But yeah, about the Alicent thing, from what I've heard, she's (apparently) painted a lot more like a Cersei like villain in the book. But idk. I prefer her portrayal in the show. She's more nuanced, clearly someone who's trying to do her best and believes she's doing the right thing. I wouldn't even call her a gray character. Her heart is in the right place, regardless of her flaws and missteps (which she has many). She has more depth that way. And it makes it all the more tragic when mistakes and misunderstandings are what ends up fueling the fire and tearing the blacks+greens apart.

I agree with you about Rhaneira. I prefer the younger actress. And they feel like two different people to me.

Looking forward to your reaction to ep 7 and 8. Those were probably my favorite from last season.
