Yeah I totally missed that this was a flashback. Keep this in mind when episodes 3 and 4 of Season 2 drop in an hour or so. This makes a lot more sense LOL

Also, Suguru Geto- the dark haired guy (bangs guy lol) paired up with Gojo for this mission, is the guy in the “current day” hanging out with Mahito and the other main curses- making the plans and feeding them the info on Gojo and Jujutsu Tech

I know on my first watch I hadn’t pieced all of the characters and their roles together yet, but the dark haired girl (a student at this point) in the beginning of the first episode is currently the teacher for the Kyoto school students- and we saw the long and lighter haired woman (Mei Mei) during the school exchange as well. And in case you didn’t pick up on the huge gambling guy’s name being the same as one of our current student’s, it’s Fushiguro (the same last name as Megumi, the dark haired student of our main trio)- and one guy even asked him “How’s Megumi doing?” And he responded as if he didn’t know who that was smh lol

Do the movie after episode 5- if you couldn’t tell or hadn’t figured out yet, this is taking place when Gojo was a student, so I think near the end there, he actually wasn’t faking that guy out, he was still figuring out and trying out some techniques, and it didn’t quite work how he wanted it to that time lol
