Game 2nd monster WIP!
🕑 Added 2025-02-19 10:24:44 +0000 UTCI commissioned an artist to help with designing the 2nd monster in the game and the other day they finished it! The super talented lespacebug/Cosmicwave14 was a big help and made the perfect model for the field version of the monster.

This is what they made, an amazing big raptor alien bug guy (lespacebug named him "Claptor") he's such beautiful creature...
I haven't finished redoing the materials/textures (since like, the game has that 90s/00s shiny, plastic-y 3d look for field sprites) but I've made animations and started working on the 2nd monster's behavior and stuff. Idk if it's youtube friendly so I'm attaching gameplay of it at the bottom of the post.
Also here's what his almost-done-but-not-quite field sprite looks like on a WIP background and some of the old insectrix sprites (still haven't done their redone model yet so for now they have the old design)
I love this design so much... I just had to start working on the FMV version of him!!! So I did a paint over, trying to do justice to the original design but add in more details like the mouth and nostrils. I think that they secrete lube-like fluid from their claw things which is how they pleasure themselves (but would prefer to use the small bug monsters as mating holes)
Soooo I basically skipped some sleep to make some really good progress on him. Still not complete (need to rig the butt hole and make his paws/feet)
But everything else is mostly good to go. I did a very quick test I made in like 10 minutes (the eyes/mouth are rigged and he has a tongue)
I have been working on non-game stuff as well! I was getting the dynamics baked and tweaking some material stuff for this shot on the deep dish thing (like a week/2 weeks ago? Can't remember when but I was doing test bakes on this and did a test bake for the whole animation, should be ready for a final bake. But then I was doing some test renders with the lower quality bake to see how it looks in motion)
I'll make a post about that later, right now I need to get to sleep (so sorry about the glitchy gif, it gets bugged out like that when trying to capture pure green >_>)

Yeah environmental/continuity game overs definitely help immersion in a level/area you're in. You could always just have the option to skip game overs, but at least in NSFW games, I feel like sex game overs always help soothe the player's mood, cause you may have lost, but you didn't lose ENTIRELY, yknow? Lol

Thanks and also thanks for asking these kinds of questions because this is making me think about the game over in a different way... originally it would just be like, "oops you lost" but hmm. A contextual game over could be fun, like yeah if you lose at certain points maybe you get different little animations depending on where you are/what hit you the last time/etc...

Lespacebug indeed made a beautiful creature for you^ ^ he has such cute and cuddly face🥰 also I’ve been wondering: Idk if you disclosed this before but how are you planning on adding in the sex scenes in your game? Is it sort of gonna work like in the game “Oh so hero!” Were they’re a finisher animation for the final enemy defeat? (and maybe a viewing gallery in-game of the different scenes👀)

I like the concept of excreting a natural lubricant from its claws, an additional use instead of just "knife hands." I don't know if these are the same species as the small ones, but I think it's interesting if they are a mutation/evolution to the small ones. Your paint over looks so nice, it shows how smooth their bodies are, love that penis and the gentle flirty look it has too. I guess a few questions, will the game over screen be different after falling to one of these? Or is it still with the little bugs? Would this one sway it's penis side to side, as an idea? Little curious on what the intimate interaction with this one will be
