1. high in the sky for me is just her in the swing at age 7, but it could be interpreted differently. But, I see age 7 as the time when she had no cares/innocence of youth. She's reflecting back now as an adult to someone she knew at that age, yes kid stuff, the innocence of youth; 2. the bridge is the most powerful about her friend in a bad home life; a 7 yr old doesn't understand why a father would be mad and her friend would hide and cry in the closet; but an adult understands; but a child just wants their friend to come live with them and they can pack their bags and their dolls and run away together; and that kind of childhood friendships that come and go, but in this way with a song, that friendship is passed on, like a folk song; but also I think at that time of innocence at age 7, the innocence of youth at that time is frozen with this song and that is what gets passed on. 3. this song is very sweet, sad but sweet. 4. I'm glad you are enjoying folklore. Evermore is fantastic, a bit more pop IMO, but more storytelling than folklore and i love her storytelling songs. IMO folklore is the better album, more cohesive, but I enjoy evermore much more. It has a little bit for everyone. 5. On to August, track 8. It may be the most popular song on the album, or close to it, its #3 most popular Taylor song on Spotify. 6. Folklore and evermore have themes. Folklore represents working through relationships, talking, apologizing, remembering, talking through something; working through it. Evermore represents relationships that end and the various ways relationships end and what goes along with that. Folklore is a Spring / Summer album (summer love, swinging high in the sky, vacationing by lakes and swimming) whereas she finished up the seasons Fall / Winter with Evermore (decking the halls, home for the holidays, football season).

1. Yeah, this song gets me emotional too; 2. Love some Rolling Stones; 3. Glad you don’t fake liking. I really do prefer real reactions, even if doesn’t have the same opinion as I do. But I know that even if we like, doesn’t mean we will listen again; 4. Scary how you always mention something related to her career or life… the tantrums by tennis players => The Man music video. 5. I’m also glad their collaboration didn’t end with folklore. Evermore is fantastic too.
