I always thought the line, "I can't make it go away by making you a villain. I guess that's the price I pay for 7 years in heaven" might be a metaphor for leaving Big Machine Records/her anger towards Scott. I think a lot of the lyrics could be interpreted that way actually. "But now I'm right down in it, all the years I've given Is just shit we're dividin' up" could be about how all the years she gave him which built his record company and then all she got from him in the end was a division of her work and not the full thing. I don't know though if she would be as kind and forgiving towards him as she is in the song

I like your interpretations!! They're usually a bit more literal to the lyrics which is nice - us TS fans tend to find hidden meanings and speculate about every little breathing pause so it's cool to see it from another angle.
