Nice, Alexander. I lived in Thailand (Chiang Mai) for 2 years and I was once married to a Thai woman. I still remember a lot of the language.

I teach ESL and have done so for 24 years part time. My dad, having gone from ESL teacher to president for Canada's founding private language school, he'd warned me about the low pay. But I felt I could carry on what he would have liked to see changed in the ESL, namely reforming the flawed way of teaching English, which has been propagated worldwide as a business rather than education. (My Swiss cousins live on Long Island, by the way.) And I'm living in Thailand now, because after 24 years in Switzerland I could not see the end of the tunnel. I can barely survive on my savings – can't get authorisation to teach here because I'm on a marriage visa, but will have to remarry (my Thai wife) after 15 years to be able to legally work here. Still, I find, Chad, your interviews are so compelling and resonate. And your questions are spot on! Keep it up! Now—I'm going to stop rambling and watch Master Gem.
