That art is pretty close to how I imagine her, yeah! Though I always like to leave plenty of room for reader interpretation, especially when it comes to fanart. Everyone's is gonna be slightly different! But, ahem, yes, I did describe her leggings as a very specific selection of colours. Does this mean what some readers haven taken it to mean? Perhaps! Who knows! I'm sure we'll find out eventually.

is the depiction of Grimgrave in the art how she looks? because if it is I may have missed you literally dressing someone in trans colors twice and I don't know how that keeps happening

Indeed! Whatever else Signal was doing, she did seem to be trying her best, giving Octavia a lot of other options, trying to find a way to satisfy her needs while not confining her. But Octavia has such intense tunnel-vision. And Grimgrave, well, maybe she doesn't have the best judgement either.

Can't blame Signal - she bent over backwards with offers to help even after Octavia was pretty harsh with her. She just wanted to go in with a plan rather than a suicide mission. I think Grimgrave doesn't mind suicide missions 😕
