The History of Amanda Jones I
🕑 Added 2024-03-05 19:44:02 +0000 UTCFor reasons that will soon become clear, I thought it might be nice to take a look back over the different 3D versions of Amanda during her 13 year career as an adventurer, detective and damsel in distress.
Amanda I made her debut on deviantART on 1st Jan 2011. She was the main 3D model for Amanda until the end of 2016. She was built on Daz's Victoria 4 using the FRAD Eden character as a base. She existed intitally just as plain old Amanda, but as I came into more hairstyles and youth morphs, in 2013 she made her debut as Young Amanda, which accompanied her CYOA adventure First Sleuth by Perils of Dawn. In 2014 I developed an intermediate version of Amanda between her High School and College versions, called Summer Sleuth Amanda. She benefited from a deviantART story competition, with over a dozen entries detailing her adventures with Kat and Hannah across Europe.
Regular 'College' Amanda was by no means finished despite the appeal of her more youthful versions. In 2015 she appeared in the story The Casket Caper, where she encountered her nemesis, Lafarge. The picture of her tied up in the casket is, to date, my most viewed and popular image on dA.
When Amanda II came along at the end of 2016, Amanda I's model had already served a 5 year distinguished career. And because Amanda II's supermodel looks tended less well to 'young' versions, Amanda I continued to appear in overlap with her: as Young Amanda, and in 2017 Summer Sleuth Amanda took a dark turn and transformed into Teen Rebel Amanda, all because she was forbidden from taking a summer holiday that year (mistakenly to keep her out of trouble).
I've put together this attached scrapbook, and hopefully for some of you who haven't been following since 2011, this may be interesting or enlightening. Much of Amanda I's art is on deviantART, as she pre-dates Patreon. There's also more on my Discord server for those who are interested.
Next, Amanda II's scrapbook.
Let me know what you thought of Amanda I down below and which was your favourite guise for her, or your favourite adventure. Thanks!

Aah, the original Amanda. The one who originally captivated me. I remember her from her trip to the library. Such a little cutie.

I've kind of stopped writing, and that's probably a shame.

There are certainly a lot of bad guys around. It's lucky she has you as fans or it would be a lonely existence avoiding this continual pursuit.

That one perched on the window is exceptionally popular on deviantART, though I have a suspicion that the particular angle from which it was rendered MAY have contributed to its success.

For me, the highlight of that era was The Casket Caper. Beyond College Amanda's looks and the DID plot, it was the insights into her personality that really hooked me.

My first introduction to Amanda was with her adventure In the Cellar, quite some time ago. I do love a bit of mad science. While she may have fixed her original outfit as the classic in my impressionable mind, she has only grown lovelier over time. I'm not certain I can name a favorite adventure, as she's had so many, and she has quite the rogues gallery in LaFarge, Rachel, Aphir, and Fallon, among others.

As much as I love seeing Amanda lose her shoes, my favorite picture of this whole set is the one where she is sitting in the window with the caption, "Young Amanda alone at Christmas." Even though her shoes are off, they are probably out of sight on the floor. She doesn't seem to be in danger, but it is a touching moment. Next up for me is "Outfoxed by Rachel." It might have been the first time I saw her wearing high heels, or rather "losing" high heels. Everything I love about a damsel in distress is contained in that one picture - one shoe lying on the sidewalk, one being pulled off by the friction of her foot sliding on the sidewalk, and the reinforced toes of her pantyhose revealed on the one exposed, stocking foot. Amanda I was a classic, and seeing her here reminded me why I fell in love with her in the first place.

Rachel is definitely going to get what's coming to her...

What a lovely idea! I think it will come as no surprise to you that my favorite adventures will be those where she falls to a female nemesis, and while I truly loved her losses to Rachel and Fallon, the idea of her soul being taken by the sexy Aphir tops the set! As we've previously discussed, the image of seeing Amanda's soul and life force being sucked out of her mouth and into Aphir is a powerful one, leaving her gorgeous body empty, derelict, and abandoned! Some part of her consciousness would live on in Aphir, fully aware but just "along for the ride" as she watches the evil sorceress pursue her malevolent goals, unable to affect events. BTW, it would be delicious to see Rachel meet her own demise!
