This year's Artfight was much less productive for me than I would have liked so I'm glad I could squeeze in this one. I usually take most of July off to make the most of the event, but this time around I ended up being sick for most of the time as I caught a cold after cold. 😭 Fortunately I did manage to work on some very fun pieces including this one! I'll post a time lapse of the process a bit later, too.

Thank you so much, it means a lot! ;u; I'm happy to have this kind of platform to share my passion with other artists and art enjoyers, I'm living for the conversation happening here already. 😭💛 And I certainly don't mind! I could make a separate post about this to show all the steps with pictures, but I'll do my best to explain it here before that: In a nutshell, I first make a chromatic aberration effect, flatten the whole image (with the effect) into a new layer, blur it and create a mask for the blurred layer. Then using the mask, I'll erase all the parts where I don't want to have the blur and done! I'm sure there are other ways to achieve this and mine might not be the most practical as it must be done to the (almost) finished piece due to having to flatten the image first (I won't get rid of the layers of course, just make a new layer with it). But it's a great tool to add some spice to finished-to-be art! ^^ Not the easiest thing to explain without actually showing it though so maybe that would be a subject for a new post in the future.
