I earnestly think Korra is better than the original but I'm also over a year late to this post otherwise I'd give my reasoning
Dakota
Bro McKay looking over at the camera at the end man lol all the side eyes during this series just sends me
Anna
On no planet could Korra ever be better than the last airbender
Sasha
I hope they'll watch One Punch Man.
Sasha
Brig is always such a menaceš
Courtni Wade
(slight naruto spoiler)I can remember the exact moment I stopped watching/reading naruto; a mf said "time-space ninjustu" and I said no, I cannot
tas
I think you have to grow up with Naruto to like it. At least now, it is outdated and doesn't live up to the quality of other anime. Plus way too long and too many fillers. Definitely a skip. Better shounens would be Hunter x Hunter, One Punch Man, JJK, Demon Slayer, etc.
Diana Rodriguez āļø
I love how Carter catches on every single strategy so fast.
Diana Rodriguez āļø
They fr need to watch Naruto rn. There's no way Korra is better than ATLA
Cris
Haikyuu is such a good sport anime you guys shoulddd definitely watch it!
Chase Blevins
Bro you seriously need to chillā¦literally all of your comments are so aggressive. There no need for thatā¦.up to this pointā¦the community here has seemed really positive. No place for all your negative comments and coming at people in your above comments either.
Chase Blevins
Well if it means anythingā¦Attack on Titan was my first anime I ever watched. But no anime or show in general has ever made me feel as emotionally involved or hit me as hard as Naruto has. I grew up with Marvel, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potterā¦but none of them have hit me as hard as Naruto.
Brandon Parks
They shouldn't be there in the first place
Vic
it was sarcasm
Brandon Parks
Idk if I'd say it's part of the big 3 because it's bad lmao
Delilah

not even close to right. AoT is good, but putting it on a pedestal like that does nobody any favors. There's a ton of great anime out there, acting like only one is good is very cringe
Vic
Yeah Naruto is part of the big 3 because it's soooo garbage...
Vic
Recommends Sword Art Online, doesn't recommend Naruto. Yikes.
Ash
Every anime newbie says the same thing about Naruto , until they've actually watched it. Naruto is fun but Shippuden is when it starts getting cooler - def reconsider down the road
Doodlez
Just dont watch them(filler eps.) and if there are repeating scenes just skip them whats the problem ?
Manny
Please you guys gotta watch the ep 12 post credit scene. It was put there for a reason so itās not spoiling anything LOLL
Theresa
ATTN BRIG: read this to Cannon & Carter. Naruto is one of my favorite shows!! The character development of Naruto and the others growing up is amazing. But what is truly amazing about the show is the detail of the history of everything. You get to see the master's master's master's master's master's training and that's no joke. How everything is passed down, everyone started as a student and had to work hard, and how someone who was hated by everyone became everyone's hero. Absolutely amazing story, highly recommend. And I know the number of episodes seems daunting, but don't think about that and just start it. It's a masterpiece.
Daniel Kofman
That's major cap. There is nowhere near enough information to even figure out the conclusion of the episode, maybe if you slowed it down and analyzed every frame but even that's a stretch. "no benefit of watching?" you can't be serious. The amount of suspense and tension generated by that scene is crazy, idk how it's possible to not appreciate that. Either way, why on earth should anyone listen to your judgment of how the show should be watched over Isayama's plan? I might be too passionate about the show, but I honestly think its one of the most important stories humanity has created and I hate to see someone else's watch even slightly ruined by stupidity like this
Daniel Kofman
I'm sorry but every single other anime is dogshit compared to AOT. Recycled plot lines and tropes for hundreds of episodes. Naruto is the same
rac coun
I've seen multiple reactions now of people figuring out all of "midnight sun" just from the information shown in that after credits scene. There is no benefit of watching, but it can spoil people who look and think about it. Imo getting there in chronological order is a much more enjoyable viewing order, even if it's not how Isayama or the makers of the show wanted it. It's a matter of taste and how one enjoys watching a show. Please be more respectful to random people on the internet. Your words can hurt them.
rac coun
Premier Dhalis Zachary was the Head of the military and now he is the ruler, till a new king or queen is crowned. Nile Dawk is the Commander of the Military police.
Daniel Kofman
Anyone who says they shouldn't watch the episode 12 post credit is FUCKING DISABLED TROGLODYTE. It's a very unique moment and is part of the experience of the show. It was designed to not spoil, they will have no clue what's happening and it's an extremely sick scene. Its a major mind fuck and adds a LOT of suspense and tension, they would be missing out majorly without seeing it. Swear to god comment section dont ruin this for them
Blast
Didnāt know there were people who didnāt like Naruto. There are filler episodes I know but the good thing is that we have info on which are cannon and are filler. Personally I would love for these guys to react to Naruto. It is convenient for them to do so as Naruto is a huge in the top animes with a huge fan base. It honestly gets interesting as the seasons go. If this were to happen Iām sure many of us would be in the ride from the first to last episode. It would also encourage those who dislike it or just donāt want to watch everything and have only seen the tip of the iceberg to watch everything!
Brandon Parks
Personally Naruto is way too much filler. IMO any anime with more than a couple episodes of filler is garbage. I think they are justified.
TwistedHooks
Korra is definitely not better than ATLA, but after rewatching both of them, Korra is definitely better than a lot of people give it credit for. The worst season is definitely the 2nd, too much wasted potential for the Civil War arc, and it tries to do too much with the Dark Avatar stuff. I will say they stuck the landing with Season 3 from Season 2 though, Zaheer and his crew were top tier villains, the entire storyline of the new Airbenders was honestly really interesting. Also, I have an inkling you guys wouldn't really love SAO, but I'd love to see you guys give it a try, or at least hear about you guys giving it a try. SAO has a lot of general anime tropes and stuff that you've talked about not liking in the past before, but really the only weak part is the 2nd arc of Season 1, everything else is either good or great in my opinion, just unfortunate that most people don't get past Season 1 because of all the stigma and a lot of it unfortunately being correct around the 2nd arc.

āWhat the Hā so wholesome š

Honestly, I wanted to like Naruto, but only got through a couple episodes before giving up. I can't even remember what I watched now... Korra seriously disappointed me. The first season was okay purely because of the nostalgia, but it in no way compares to AtLA. Last Airbender is still to this day one of my all-time favorite shows. I usually binge the whole show at least once a year haha! I really didn't like what they did with Korra. That's totally a personal opinion though... You guys should watch Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood next!! FMA is a close second to AoT!! Also Sword Art Online is seriously underrated! That's one I go back to rewatch all the time as well!!
The Owl
Award winner/nominee show. Slept on.
Miranda
Detective Conan is definitely huge if you grow up in Asia. It's a show that everyone at my generation at least watched one episode lol.
DryRips
ATLA is in a league above Korra. Just a more interesting story in the beginning of the world and I think it just had better writing overall than Korra. The characters were all extremely likeable as well as the group and their development was insane for a kids show.
Pagan Cocks
I feel like Korra and Last Airbender are quite equal in how i would rate them. I think they're very strong in each their points, and weak in other. I think Korra had more strong points, whilst Last Airbender was more even. But anyhow, I couldn't say i like one over the other!
Lag Sold
korras last season was horrible. the show isn't bad but its nit better than last air bender
Andrea Hernandez
I“m 43 years old, I've been watching anime since I was 8 years old... and in my 35 years of anime consumption, THERE IS NOTHING BADDER THAN NARUTO and its Spin-off, its horrible... for me
DerekSniper30
Every time I hear "What the H" it just cracks me up lol
DerekSniper30
Korra is like the episodes 7, 8, and 9 of Star Wars where Avatar is the Original Trilogy. It doesn't even come close.
Betty H
An underrated show I think they'd like would be Ranking of Kings! It defies most tropes and is also a great Wit Studio production despite the different art style.
A_Daddy Daichi
I started watching Naruto like 2 years ago. Left off at the beginning of season 2 (maybe??) and haven't picked it up since. Not sure if I ever will

It is very rare where an anime's/TV shows' appeal during their respective era hold their own to the present/future with newer stuff being released. I watched Naruto as a teenager and loved it back then. But I would never suggest it to today's teenagers. I'd rather suggest stuff like My Hero Academia or Jujutsu Kaisen to them. I feel like most animation quality in the past doesn't hold up to today's standards (there are plenty that do though, Attack on Titan being one of them). It would be like telling someone who owns an Xbox Series X to play a game on the first Xbox that came out during the 2000's. It would be hard for them to appreciate how great of a show it was back then compared to a critically acclaimed show that came out this year because of the advancement of animation quality alone. Cannon & Carter's bar have been set ridiculously high by having AoT being the first anime they react to. I can only count with 2 hands the amount of anime titles that are on par with AoT (regardless of genre), and Naruto isn't one of them lol.
Gregorius
Honestly, Naruto is mid compared to AoT :P I would recommend vinland saga
lydia
First time I see people mention Detective Conan! Iām so happy! Have you seen the movie āDetective Conan: The Phantom of Baker Streetā? I seriously think that is a top anime movie that even non-Detective Conan watcher can absolutely enjoy! Sad that it is super underrated š„²
lydia
Nah some scene for death note is like for children the pacing is so slow imo. Similar in tone yes, but similar in maturity itās a no no
lydia
Maybe you can tell us what you think once the season is over for you. Do you think that post credit scene was a spoiler that gave you a lot hints or a great hype up scene?
lydia
@anna sword art online is seriously a very cool concept and have great potential. Sad that the story is not well written otherwise it couldāve been a huge hit

I don't think I can watch Naruto or One Piece or any show with hundreds of episodes. I just don't have the time. I didn't get into when I was younger, and I don't see myself starting now. Family and friends have, but not myself. I guess I was pre-occupied with other things and there are just too many episodes to get into the show. In fact, I'm still in the middle of season 3 of GoT. Gotta finish that as well. I hardly remember much of the details of the episodes of ATLA. I know the overall story and lore, but it was so long ago for me. I loved the show and the characters are unforgettable. I want to rewatch it but the nostalgia bug hasn't bit me yet. I also enjoyed the series with Korra. Not as good as the first, but it was a worthwhile expansion into the world of Avatar. Though, in my area, not sure how it was for others, the show moved from primetime kid's slot to online only due to the decline in viewership, which was disappointing.
Jag_227
The good parts of Naruto is not worth slogging through the bad imo
David
Korra was good but not as great as ATLA, what I really liked about Korra tho was the animation style and the fights and bending
A_Daddy Daichi
I love Demon Slayer and I completely agree with you Mia lol. DS has fantastic moments and characters but don't think they'd like it enough to do reactions.
T. Law
I'm with Brig, Naruto is my 2nd favorite anime after AoT but still, I don't think they can watch it, they're still haters. Just let them watch death note & code Geass (I emphasize on Code Geass).

I'm telling you right now, Cannon and Carter HAVE to watch Vinland Saga
A_Daddy Daichi
ATLA is better but Korra S2 had some fire episodes of the series!!! from what I remember lol
Voskar
The last Airbender (the show NOT the movie) ist the best written show in my book. Korra is good and i enjoyed it but nothing could be better than the last airbender. And Naruto is long but a very good anime. Many great lifelessons and quotes come from this anime
Tkdmegs
Wait so I know Brigg said he doesnāt like openings, but is he the type to listen to it once, go ehš¤·āāļø, and then skip it the rest of the times or does he just skip it without hearing it first? Iām genuinely curious now lol
SlightlyBetterPudding
Korra is not better, but I do think its good. The show leaves a good amount of unanswered questions but I thought it was great
Jake the Movie Geek
Heck no Korra is NOT better
David Herrera
By counting in the comment section, I'm sure if they made a poll, Death Note would win. It's probably not anyone's favorite but most would agree it's the type of show they would enojy.
David Herrera
Just joining the conversation and after reading all of the comments I just wanted to throw this out there. What do you think about Berserk? I'm not recommending it to the anime haters, I think that show it's like self-torture to watch specially for the manga readers. Still, I love the show, animation, maturity, soundtrack, charachters, its a crazy watch. There's the classic release, the OVAs remake, the 2016-18 continuation and if I were to recommend it to anyone, I would say the recently released memorial edition (Yeah, the same arc has 3 different editions). Cannon mentioned that a show that makes you emotional (happiness, sadness, anger, etc.) it's a good show, and that's one of the reasons I love and have rewatched it many times.
szeth
My guy really complaining that they dont like Naruto then says he hates intros lol
David Herrera
Even though I commented that you should and was really hoping you did, I can't believe you actually did it! OMG I'm dying to see that reaction!
hena
like honestly i will fight for last airbender over korra any day. i liked korra for what it was don't get me wrong but I really hate what they did with the ending :/ like. why yall do that. SMH
kiiturii
well that's how she was introduced from the beginning, overconfident and careless. She didn't receive the 'proper' training and was stuck in the north for way too long. She wasn't built for saving the world, and from there we watch her grow as she's forced to fight these fights and lose a lot. Being an avatar gives you the ability to learn all the elements, it doesn't give you automatic mastery of them and it doesn't give you righteous personality either, in atla we saw glimpses of a few other avatars who were way worse than korra, like the guy who just used his powers to get girls. If what you prefer in shows is a powerful mc then sure, you can definitely have that opinion, but I don't think it qualifies as a critique of the show
The Owl
Avatar the Last Airbender is objectively way better than Korra.
Kayla Paullet
Naruto is such a good anime I wouldnāt recommend it for you guys because there is quite a bit of filler and fight scenes like 6-10 episodes to resolve. I did really love it though and I just recently finished it in October and itās one of my favorite animeās to date but it is daunting because it is such a long anime but Iām glad that I stuck with it because once I started it I couldnāt stop watching it.
Gael
I honestly don't recommend Demon Slayer for you guys. I guess I can be considered an "anime hater" too (I hate classic shonen tropes), so some anime I recommend after watching AoT is Death Note (can't recommend this enough), Chainsaw Man, Vinland Saga and Mob Psycho!
Jay
To me, the main problem with Korra is that she loses waaaay too much & even her wins always have a downside. She lost to Tarlock. She exposed Amon but didnāt really win that fight either, he ran away. Not to mention she temporarily lost 3 of elements in that fight. She beat Unalaq (with help from Jinora) but lost her connection to the past avatars. She beat Zaheer (with help from the Airbenders) but couldnāt walk for months after that & still wasnāt 100% 3 years later. Then her 3-year absence led to Kuvira becoming a dictator. Korra beat Kuvira but half off republic city was destroyed in the process.
Miranda
I'm not a real 'Anime fan' but I grow up with whatever anime on TV, shows like Pocket Mon, Digimon, Detective Conan, Naruto, Cardcaptor Sakura and Crayon Shin-chan. I stopped watching those when I grow up and when AOT s4 came out, a writer I followed was talking about this is a masterpiece about human and history so I picked this up, best decision. I remember when I first watched Naruto (first 200 episodes) during my freshman year I really loved it and it became my favorite Anime but didn't continue for a couple years. I picked it up after I watched AOT but didn't last long because it's too long and so many unnecessary and repeated episodes so I won't recommend to you 'anime haters'. I haven't watched fullmetal alchemist yet but it got mentioned a lot when people compare it to AOT so I guess it must be really good as well.
Miranda
After watching AOT, I expect more when I watch Demon Slayer due to its popularity, but then I realize I keep overthinking during the show and none of those details actually matter or get explained, and it's just a normal anime
Nonos
Vinland saga is another peak story that has great storytelling like AOT. It would be a great 2nd anime, guarantee you guys would like it lol
kiiturii
I've watched avatar + korra twice and I really love both, but I would probably never say korra is better, they're different and korra has it's strengths, but atla is just so good in every aspect it's crazy
Jay
Doubt the āanime hatersā will be able to get into Naruto tbh. Too many of the classic anime tropes that generally turn some people off from anime. Also there are a lot of flashbacks that get shown an unnecessary amount of times, fillers that you have to worry about skipping & the pacing is bad (imo). And Iām saying this as someone who got into anime because of Naruto. I think they would enjoy Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Cyberpunk Edgerunners.
Jay
Donāt think Korra is better overall but I still enjoyed it & there are SOME aspects of it that are better. For example - Amon, Zaheer & arguably even Kuvira are much better villains than Ozai.
Driscollis
OG atla is obviously the better series, and Aang the better character. However, I fully acknowledge that the studio got severely screwed over by the network, and I think it had the potential to be very good. I still enjoy some of Korra, but overall there was no shot it could live up to the cultural impact and quality of atla
Miranda
I agree, I won't watch 500 episodes either. My favorite before AOT was Naruto but I only watched 200ish episodes and my friend told me that I haven't watched the best part yet. My favorite before Naruto was Detective Conan(over 1000 episodes lol). Tbh, I thought all animes are like over 500 episodes until I watch AOT.
Dony29
just to add one more category psychological: death note, monster
adam
Action Packed : Chainsaw Man/Jujutsu Kaisen/Demon Slayer Slice Of Life (Drama) : SpyxFamily/Violet Evergarden Historical : Vinland Saga They are all great just different genres!
Cecilie Munthe
Nile is the commander of the military police :)
manderlee
If thinking Naruto is not good without having watched it makes you a bum then Iām a bum tooš same with One PieceāI aināt about to watch 500+ episodes of something with a plot line that is bound to repeat itself
Kobe
Iām so hype for that š« Hereās to the upcoming episodes š»
Studio Geck
Spoiler alert: we had McKay and brig watch it and they said we should, and so we didš³

Avoiding shonen will be a good first step
Studio Geck
Why do you think so?
Studio Geck
The amount Iāve heard of Vinland saga being so good is peaking my interest like crazy like Iām beyond intrigued
Studio Geck
We are on 3x13 actually!
Rawsushiii
I personally have avoided both Naruto and One Piece because they both have a TON of filler. BUT, both have good stories. I think when it comes to filler filled series, reading the manga might be better just because you can skip them. Here's some other good series that are more story driven and don't have filler Violet Evergarden Erased Parastye The Maxim Death Parade Don't give up on anime, there's hidden gems out there, I promise! Also, Korra was NOT better than ATLA BUT it did great on expanding the world of Avatar. I'm excited for their new series/movies in a few years.
vita if
watch monster, deathnote, haikyuu, vinland saga
Mattchu
Atla ftw
Elle
I'm actually physically kicking my feet and rubbing my hands together with excitement lmao I'm so stoked
ash
yeah honestly.. demon slayer has some stereotypical anime troupes that i feel like they would hate,, like the random, misplaced comedy w the guy who gets scared easily
Miranda
I think after AOT, you will have high expectations for anime but I don't think any of those will satisfy you. I watched Demon Slayer after AOT because it's the most popular one ever but it doesn't live up to my expectation.
äøäø
I recommend vinland saga, monster and death note. But if you like sports, Haikyuu is a perfect choice. And mob psycho 100's theme is against shonen tropes, the author wanted to prove that good anime has no need of shonen tropes, and he succeeded.
farkzzy
most of aot is wit. save this comment for when theyāre on season 4 lol
aotant
Canāt wait for the next episodes!!! Just gets better and better
Anarkhie
Naruto can only be enjoyed by skipping the fillers. The best way to do that is by watching Naruto Kai, which has 72 episodes, each corresponding to one manga volume, with all the padding and fillers cut out. While the story and characters of Naruto are fantastic, it does have those goofy comedic anime elements that tends to turn people off. Still, ignoring those, it's an amazing story. Death Note is probably better for 'anime haters' though. It's similar to AoT in tone and maturity.
Starkfern
I do too, in general I think watching the ops and eds make the show more enjoyable
Kobe
I feel as though they wonāt be able to connect anything to what actually happens in that moment; but maybe Iām just biased because Iāve seen it before. I personally think that the scene doesnāt āspoilā anything, but sets a tone for the upcoming episodes.
Numk
If they were reacting live as the episodes came out? Yes But since theyāre binging they shouldnāt. Theyāll make the connection easily and itāll be a spoiler tbh
TerraZetzz
I agree. Also, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
Aidan Ross
Naruto was my first anime but there are definitely multiple other animes to watch before it. If you like sports you could watch blue lock, or like a few other people have said, watch one of demon slayer, jjk, or death note.(jjk is my favorite anime Iāve ever watched)
James Allpress
Hey man, I love Naruto. But there's a reason I'm re-writing it as a fanfiction. Some of the writing is complete ass. If I can improve on that then I've won.
nomorepartiezz
man i remember this part of the show being my least favorite for so long because i didnt fully understand and thought it was boring. rewatching now and actually understanding whatās happening and how its setting up for the future⦠wow. This show is insane.
sesaka
i feel like they will first have a familiarity with MAPPA when they reach S4 since that is when they made the switch
James
I watched Naruto for the longest time, and eventually I stopped since they kept on coming out with new episodes. Since you guys really like AoT, I would suggest checking out any of the anime produced by Mappa (they produced AoT). On that list, Vinland Saga is my second favorite, and I'm currently waiting on season 2 to finished so that I can binged that series.
Savannah Balderas
For shits and giggles, Yall should check out āAttack on Titan: Junior Highā its on Hulu. Same creators, but they change up the story to match their lives in middle school š Only 12 episodes!!
iaani
Please point me in the direction of a sequel that is at the same time so different, but still builds the world and characters in a creative and respectful manner the way the Legend of Korra does. I think on average Korra has higher highs and lower lows than atla. As for Naruto, there was a 7-8 year gap between my friends telling me to watch it and me watching it. Ended up watching both shows in the span of 4 months. Skip everything labeled filler (at first) though, it's not worth it and saves you 250 eps.
nomorepartiezz
yea its stupid. demon slayer is literally the most generic/stereotypical shonen anime, its just really good at doing that. The show has incredible fight scenes and animation but thats really all it has to offer imo. they would hate the show after like 1 episode of zenitsu.
Rashad T
That's the beauty of AOT. Every season is different but still factors into the overall narrative. The scope widens in S3 with its lore and world building. Many questions get answered.
esie ā”ļø
I might get a lot of hate for this comment but just for context Naruto is still one of my favorite shows. I grew up with this show and the characters so I definitely think Naruto is more carried by nostalgia, which is not a bad thing. i rewatched it with my brother who had never seen it and it honestly doesnāt hold up as I thought it did. There were so many times in the show where I would lose interest and the pacing is just awful. It unfortunately suffers as it was long running so thatās why there are so many fillers so they wouldnāt catch up to the manga. Itās still one of my favorites though. How you are wondering? It just is lmao. Shippuden is amazing, I love it but I donāt think itās a show Carter and Cannon would enjoy. On the other hand, One Piece is a long running anime with lots of fillers (not as much) and 1,050 episodes. Itās a master piece. I never wanted to watch it cause it was just too long but my brother forced me to watch it and Iām so glad he did and that itās still coming out every week. Also ATLA is way better than Korra. End of my rant and I will continue the video!
Julia Perez
From what I've seen, people thought LoK was more mature, because its villains had more complex motives, the geopolitical issues were more complicated, and Korra goes through a lot, but to me, that doesn't necessarily make it better writing. ATLA was more focused and effective. But hey what do I know lol
nomorepartiezz
the studios changed because after season 3 the production company started immediately advertising season 4 as āthe final seasonā and wanted it out ASAP to run alongside the hype of the manga which was starting to wrap up. So season 3 ended in 2019 and they wanted season 4 out by fall 2020⦠and we all know what happened that year lol. basically the original animation studio quit the job because even before covid it was too much for them. The new studio had to deal with that rushed production schedule AND covid so the animation for season 4 part 1 might seem a little weird/downgraded in places. It got better in part 2 and based on the trailer, looks to be top tier for part 3. On top of that the manga ended up going for longer than anticipated so thats why theres been the controversy the past few years with the final season having to be split up into multiple parts. It will end for good soon though š
nomorepartiezz
and yea i have lots of childhood nostalgia for naruto but i tried watching it a while back and couldnāt get much past the beginning of shippuden. its just too much filler. i cant do 8 million episodes of that. i might be hypocritical though because ive started one piece recently and have been enjoying it
anna
exactly. it's fine they want to see their reaction to their favourite shows but after they explicitly stated what they don't like about anime, i don't like how people push shows like DS onto them (once i saw someone saying sword art online š). I like demon slayer but rn i think they would just drop it. heck, even i'm annoyed by certain scenes lmao. there is so many mature shows out there, and i like naruto and stuff but i can definitely see why someone not used to anime would not enjoy it.
Lorelei
That, and Demon Slayer is just plain garbage in my opinion.
Julia Perez
Agreed - especially not as their second anime, or as a follow-up to aot lol. Fruits Basket is my second favorite anime, and I'm not gonna immediately suggest they go for a romance/slice of life. Demon Slayer's great, but it has so many tropes they hate (bc everything they hate is just the basic shonen format), and it has a much simpler story than aot. The combination wouldn't work well, especially since they're starting off as anime haters and not just curious, neutral viewers. There's tons of stuff they would probably like, why not start there lol
Dio
Agreed, I think Vinland Saga would be a good watch for them. Imo Season 2 has been solid so far too.
nomorepartiezz
i think korra has some things that are better than avatar. its been a while since i watched it but i remember thinking season 3 was on par with the best of avatar and liking how the later parts of the story were a lot more āmatureā. I never saw Avatar until I was 19 in the beginning of the covid quarantine era, so I related a lot more to Korraās struggles and development than I did with Aang even though i recognize that Avatar was way better. Towards the end of the show when she was struggling with depression and such were surprisingly relatable. I think something people always say is that Aang was a peaceful avatar when the world needed a warrior to defeat the fire nation, and Korra was a warrior avatar when the world needed a peaceful diplomat. itās interesting
John Saunders-Bernard
I was considering starting Vinland but started Tokyo Ghoul instead. But I'm thinking I need to give Vinland a chance because I keep hearing the story is great. I also think they'd like Death Note because it really keeps you on the edge of your seat with suspense but also very anxiety inducing š
Ash
Definitely liked last air bender more than korra. Growing up I didn't mind if an anime was hundreds of episodes long but now I can't help but think of it as a time commitment. 9/10 times I'd rather watch something that has 1-2 seasons.
mikkelias
Watch demon slayer next?
Caspar
Carter and Cannon about to get some questions answered in 3x6 I'm so pumped for it!
Prince Diamond
fair
Rodrigo Figueroa
Yeah it's that good
James
I second Vinland Saga. Watch the first episode, and you won't be able to stop watching. I also think this is more of Carter and Cannon's type of anime.
keyton bush
Vinland Saga is really good I think theyād like it
anna
i agree with cannon ā i didn't want to watch 500 episodes of naruto either. i did anyway lol. now i forgot where i left of and also can't remember what happened in the 450 episodes before. i don't wanna start again š¤ but fr though, while watching it, it didn't feel like it was that much. it just flew by:D
Rodrigo Figueroa
Jujutsu Kaisen is freaking good, Vinland Saga too
Rodrigo Figueroa
If it is the one that involves a fight, they totally should!
farkzzy
yeah they need to ease in to the shonen category
Sterling
Ya'll really are just pumping these out! <3
Prince Diamond
I'd say Death note, One Punch man and Saiki. K are really good for the next animes to watch
Chaffi
death note would be great for them, demon slayer definitely no at least not yet keep in mind that they hate typical anime tropes and demon slayer is full of that
nans
AOT is truly one of a kind and for it to be your first anime itās a tough act to follow tbh š« I also totally get that cannon and carter would not be about watching animes with a crazy amount of eps eitherā¦if I hadnāt been watching some of the older ones as a kid I think I would also be turned off by something with that many episodes (especially since the pacing of some of these shows is atrocious lol). There are some other animes out there that I feel like you guys might still enjoy depending on the poll thatāll come after you finish AOT, so letās see when the time comes hahah. And yes ATLA is in its own league sorry Korra
Dio
ATLA and TLOK are both great, but I think I liked Korra better! To me, I liked that the setting was more modern and I felt like the villains were more complex as well as the plot. Regarding Naruto, there are 2 series, Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. Just an idea, but how about Brig gives you a summary of Naruto and then maybe you watch the best arcs from the series, and then just watch Naruto Shippuden since it is better anyways? There are a lot of episodes, but a lot of those are filler that most people skip.
Chaffi
they already said that they won't and im glad
Sweede TW
ATLA is peak
LosDaGoat
Korra isnt bad but The last air bender will always be untouchable
Billy, W
Im not sure if you can say it on here but, why not?
Sean Carroll
I really hope they didnāt
Mia Malvik
People seem more interested in recommending their favourite shows instead of taking into consideration what they might actually like based on their reactions and opinions. There are definitely some animes out there they would like, but even more ones they would absolutely hate lmao
Coen
100% agree, I'm seeing all these comments on wanting them to watch Demon Slayer. And here I am knowing basically every typical anime trope they hate is in that show, I can't see that ending well haha
Megan Kirby
My take on the government thing is that itās more of an aristocracy than a monarchy. The nobles run the show, especially since rod is a coward.
Kobe
I really hope they watched the mid-credit scene on ep. 12 š„²

I was an anime hater hahah and luckly my brother knew the kind of anime that I would see and enjoy... and that help me to be open to other animes... Now I'm watching One Piece, a thousand chapters anime and I really swore that I'll never watch it and here I am hahaha so I would tell you never say never... Be open and watch something when you really know is the right time.. I knew when I wanna to see One Piece,,,so you will know when is the right time to give a chance to a lot of amazing anime ........
Mia Malvik
Everyone recommending Demon Slayer and I think that's a bad idea š keeping in mind what they've said about typical anime tropes they dislike
Prince Diamond
Please watch DEATH NOTE then DEMON SLAYER, thanks!
Prince Diamond

DeludedDonut

FƔtima Quintero
Naruto is too soon for the anime haters XD I will choose Death Note, it will be perfect for them
Ryan Barron
Koras better
Mia Malvik
Also ATLA ftw
marlassett
ATLA is better
Destini

How I see it is that being a fan of anime doesn't mean you like all anime. Also being a fan of AoT doesn't necessarily mean you'll like any other anime either, because it is really special. But there are definitely a lot out there that are incredibly high quality, and on the same level. I rate stuff like Vinland Saga super highly for example because it's such a solid story where the writers know exactly what they're doing, and then you have Naruto that honestly I think is a bit of a mess š But to each their own š¤š¼
BlueDebut
About ATLA vs LOK? Later Korra got better. I dropped out after season 2 (seen as the worst season so it made sense) but I watched ATLA as it came out so nothing compares except AoT because I'd caught up by the time Season 4 came out.
Firefox
hell yea 2 episodes in one day!
BlueDebut
Been refreshing and FINALLY. I'm waiting for the bystander episode (I read that you're past 3x13 so it's not a spoiler)
farkzzy
naruto is my second favourite anime after aot. itās amazing and you guys should give it a chance
Jay W. Butler
there's no comparison to ATLA, it's far too good. TOK had some good parts but it's not better imo
manderlee
But thatās by itās so EPIC
manderlee
This season is where everything you thought you knew changes
Jay W. Butler

farkzzy
iāve done it again
Elian Nobel
korra is not very good tbh. It is such a letdown (excluding season 3), but Korra is just an annoying main character tbh. I watched ATLA 10 times and Korra 3 times in agony :)
