Kinda bothers me how the girls seem to completely misunderstand Aang and Zuko especially. They're very complicated and very real characters, they're not perfect beings who always make the objectively correct decision. Both of them have the weight of the world on them for different reasons, both of them crack under that pressure sometimes, and both of them lash out. Both of them are traumatized kids. I've been binging these reactions, and the girls are both so critical of both of them.

carter is goated,, aang wasn't acting stupidly if you take his trauma and deepest fears into account. he needed the grace and understanding of his friends to finally understand what he needed to let go of by the end of the episode.

The show will hint at what really happened and why Ozai became Fire Lord instead of Iroh in a future episode. Put simply, yes, Iroh was heir to the throne and Azulon was going to honor their tradition however some key points happen that changes everything. One of them was already stated in season 1 (Ozai should know the pain of losing a first born son)

Thank you Carter for trying to explain Aangs situation, because letting the whole world down is his biggest fear. Additionally, he just had a near death experience and within minutes, after waking up from a coma (I guess), they told him the world thinks he is dead. The shock was real and Aang needed the time to go through his emotions and process them - which is completely normal. And Team Avatar and especially Katara did understand him. That’s one of the reasons why I love Avatar, because you can actually relate to the characters and how they deal with emotions, feelings and behaviour in different situations

I think the S2 finale is better than the S1 finale. The S2 finale had a *lot* more buildup and was the end of an entire story arc spanning over half the season (beginning with The Library). The S2 finale, while "cooler" because of the whole thing with the Spirit World and the giant fish monster, doesn't have the same sort of weight to it, and it doesn't have as much buildup, either.

There's a YT channel called Overanalyzing Avatar and he has this recurring bit where if Zuko says something edgy he plays the beginning of "Crawling" by Linkin Park, so every time I hear a line like that now just I roll my eyes and laugh along but bro is still literally me, I was plenty cringe at that age, judge ye not and all that

Zukos mom(idk I didn’t read the comics) probably approached Ozai and proposed she take care of Azulon and he spare Zuko and she’d just go into hiding for murdering the fire lord (everyone thought he died in his sleep but she feared for her life anyway)

It was more Azulon was gonna give Iroh the throne regardless of his failures in war he even had empathy for Iroh when Ozai said he should have the throne instead cause Iroh has no lineage left, Zuko’s mom heard from Azula that Azulon told Ozai he’d have to kill is first born son for the treachery he spewed in the throne room(asking Azulon to forsake Iroh RIGHT after his son died)
