This will be an uncommon recommendation, but you boys really ought to check out the Amazon Prime show "The Expanse". It's a really good adaptation of a pretty extensive sci-fi series of novels by the same name. The author(s) of the novels (co-authors under one pseudonym) worked closely with the showrunners in adapting the story throughout every season. The show is very popular among the novels' community for the adaptation (and in many cases, *changes* to book characters for the show). It's an ensemble cast type show where you'll have many characters involved in the story all throughout, and lots of intriguing people to grow with over the course of the story. It's "sci-fi", but it's rooted in very textured and 'real' feeling science. A story of human expansion, exploration, conflict, politics, emotion, and ideas of the future. Very strong and well-written characters that feel like real people with real conflicts and ideas. It's "sci-fi", but it's NOT a Star Trek, a Star Wars, or any other "space show" that you might immediately think of for television. The writing is excellent, the characters and performances are wonderful and fun and nuanced (and they get better as the show goes on!), and while it's a large cast of *some* familiar faces that you'll recognize from different things (including Jared Harris, ol' Legasov from Chernobyl!), it's a undoubtedly a cast of people (characters & actors) brand new to you that you'll have the opportunity to cheer for, and holler at! If you're curious how it fares as a "reaction" watch, while it's definitely underrated in the YT space, there are still a good handful of popular reaction channels that have featured it, and fallen in love with it - some that started out into sci-fi, and others where The Expanse was their first real foray into that 'space', so to speak ;) Please give it a look! I'm glad it helped. 🤗 And you have great predictions. It could go any of those ways I think. I really like your theories. I feel as if they might choose the route of the government trying to create a normalized world, untainted so, they will search for a cure. Or it could be Namra and others like her fighting the normal ones even their friends. However, I can't really see that happening. So, I think her and Cheongsan will remain good and help their friends as they once did. And I can see how it could become much worse like the TWD and TLOU due to the rapid spread of the virus and no antidote in sight. Or it could be like Tokyo Ghoul where everyone coexists despite their differences. Gosh, I wish it would get here already. I'm guessing it might be in August but I'm not sure if there's an offical release date yet.😭

It's really hard to recommend shows when the standard is Game of Thrones, because almost everything else is a step down. The only shows that surpass it are other HBO classics like Sopranos, Deadwood and The Wire, but I don't know if you would get many views or votes for those lol. But popular good shows would be: Haunting of Hill house; Stranger things; Chernobyl; The Bear; Andor; Shogun; Mindhunter. If we include animated shows, you should definitely see the new XMen 97, and depending on how much you like Star Wars, you could do the Clone war series, tales of the Jedi and Visions.

Black Bird! It's a six episode thriller based on the true story of a serial killer. Incredible reviews, acting, and perfect casting. If you are looking for a longer series and haven't watched them already: Stranger Things, Peaky Blinders, or Andor! Take my advice, because it's what the Hero Himmel would have done.

Yes yes it helped me!!😅😂 So my predictions are they will either find a cure in S2 and the people like Namra need to survive in a partially normalized world (because they are being hunted by the government or something, it could be a Tokyo Ghoul kinda thing😂) or the world has become worse because of the virus (like twd or tlou) and therefore it is even more important for the rest of the government to find such people for a cure🤔 I tried to say my predictions without spoiling too much, hope it worked😂

I have the greatest taste of all time so just watch what I recommend. ( my top 4 shows oat are Got breaking bad Aot and one piece) just for reference. I’m sure you prob want to factor viewership into your choice but I’ll list some goated shows. Breaking bad and better call Saul obviously. Peaky blinders, Barry (such an underrated gem). The Sopranos (goat level show that inspired just about every drama td, it aged extremely well too). Cobra Kai (based on karate kid movies, the show is cheesy but it’s SOOO entertaining and very funny with great fight scenes). Dexter is a personal fav of mine and even tho it kinda falls off like GOT, the first 4 seasons are absolute peak and it’s still a very entertaining show from start to finish. I personally guarantee every member will enjoy any show here.

I am on my hands and knees begging for the Interview with the Vampire AMC series that started airing in 2022. Not a very long show to watch + the actor who plays Grey Worm is one of the leads! It just finished out its second season and it’s some of the best acting (if not the best) that I’ve seen on air as of late. It’s getting more recognition these days thankfully but until recently had been criminally underrated. I hope you consider it, I think you would love it and have a ton of fun watching it. I think it’s particularly great for reaction channels because lots of it is very open to interpretation and things aren’t always as they seem. Overall just super different from anything else out at the moment!

These series don't fully fit into live-action or anime but I think you'd enjoy them. If you want that cinematic feel, you could watch some of the Love Death + Robots episodes (some of the best CGI I've ever seen). Castlevania has the anime style but is produced by a Western studio; you guys would absolutely love this show. Lastly, YOU HAVE TO WATCH Histories & Lore at some point; it could fit on the CinemaGek channel just because of its relation to GoT. Much of the narration is performed by characters from the show as well.

For some shorter series, Chernobyl is incredible. I haven't watched season 2 of The Terror, but I can recommend season 1 and found it pretty interesting.

This show is just too much for some people, that's okay, and we will honor that choice not to continue watching it. What's not okay is lying to us about something that is not true. I vote Black Sails. Though, idk if our boys will be comfortable watching a show with so much nudity and sex in it. So probably not that one. Second choice is: Reborn Rich! Though it's only on Viki right now. Title sounds like a wattpad novel, but everyone I recommend the show to and actually watches, loves it. I'm picky about my shows and lose interest quickly. Imo the speech in Dark doesn't go nearly as fast as CG does. Some of the lines on CG are on the screen for 1-2 seconds. And I don't remember Dark having that hard of a read since a lot of the dialogue is slower paced. But I get what you mean.

From those I recommeneded a few comments down: The bear, beef, and the haunting of hill house are all so different and have different pacing but are - short - great family dynamics - such interesting characters - beef and the bear are also very funny - so enjoyable, they don’t drag - and I think all three have messages that many people can resonate with despite being different genres!!!! Dark has a 10/10 storyline and crazy mindfuck moments, The Last Kingdom is basically Vinland Saga but live action, Animal Kingdom is essentially GTA5 the show (a lot of unnecessary sex though), saw someone mention Castlevania but that's a cartoon/anime (though with 10/10 animation, just better than virtually all anime in terms of overall quality).
