idk if y’all know this but all able bodied men in south korea are required to enlist for 18-21 months in the military, length of time depends on what branch they pick. this is why having a bunch of ex marines in the games is not crazy. all able bodied men HAVE to enlist by the time they’re 35. there are special exemptions for athletes & classical artists who do something big on an international stage that brings national prestige.

I assumed it was clear that the front man joined the games to officially go head to head against Gi-Hun to see who wins. Gi-Hun challenged him during 2x2 & said he beat the old leader Il-Nam. So not sure why you're speculating so much about his reasons. I believe the front man genuinely wants to play with him and somewhat respects him too, he wont want him dead before seeing who wins at least. Maybe he actually wants to turn Gi-Hun to his dark side too. The front man was Not acting with Gi-Hun either, when telling his story of why he joined the games. It's clear those were real emotions shown i think. Also, guys they definitely pick and choose what to let the players keep on them. It's all part of the games and making them entertaining so of course they'd let someone like Thanos keep his stash of drugs, they knew what he had inside the necklace for sure. The players are also more confident now about getting out together because they get to vote after each game now. The pregnant girl is almost due guys, not sure how you missed that as the old lady literally confirmed the girl is almost at full term pregnancy & that she was i pain before from binding her stomach to try compressing her baby bump, which is really bad for baby & mom.

I'm a sucker for cliche romance stories. I liked My Demon too and this isn't romance but The Uncanny Encounter too. Alrighty but you don't have to if you don't want. No pressure. You just really feel the emotions of all the main characters and people in the show in general. It's on the Viki Rakuten streaming app :)

It is but it's pretty rough with the gore and K-trauma all together. It's about the Gwanju Uprising that happened in 1980 in South Korea and a young college couple who fall in love amidst the chaos and violence. I liked it even though I cried profusely. I always do at sad stuff lol yeah true but maybe they will check out Memories of the Alhambra one day hopefully. That's cool that it's the highest rated drama in Korea! How amazing :)

I just checked online: memories of the alhambra is also one of the highest rated dramas in korea itself. I really wish they would give it a try. If they are not hooked after episode 3 they could still drop it. But it would be such a waste! Its a pity nobody nowadays does react to it. Tried to find some but there was nothing. Such a pity. This masterpiece is too unknown here :/

I haven't watched in a few years but I believe you. I may have to watch it again to refresh my memory. If I remember correctly, there were a lot of twist and turns throughout the series. And without a doubt, their acting is always on point like you said. It completely makes you feel whatever emotions the characters are feeling at the time. I loved Crash Landing On You. But I'm in so deep that it feels weird when I watch Western shows without subtitles. It feels almost foreign now in a sense :)

Warning: long comment I was mesmerized by it. I wish they would watch it among so many others. I can honestly see them getting hooked on K-dramas. The stories really draw you in for how intricate they are followed by a strong plot with emotionally driven characters. I'm a K-drama addict though. It's bad but I've probably watched almost 200 lol And I'm still waiting for The Glory, Sweet Home, Weak Hero, All of Us are Dead, and maybe even It's Okay to Not be Okay. But I'm being greedy. Gonggi is similar to Knucklebones that originated from Greece I believe ( reason for the name is because originally they used the knucklebones of sheep’s back in the old days ), we have a similar game in my culture. We call it either ‘koruru’ or ‘ruru’ but otherwise my country overall calls it ‘knucklebones’ cause of the European influence due to colonisation. There’s other names from other cultures and countries for this game as well. The basic rules of the game are: ( Note: some countries have different rules of how to play it ) - You always got to throw one stone in the air while attempting to pick up the others from the ground/floor, until the last round - The number of stones you play with are 5 - There’s an order to how many you pick up each round - So the first thing you do is scatter the stones/dice or whatever your using across the floor - Then you choose to pick up the one you want to throw in the air - The first round you have to pick just ‘ONE’ stone at a time while throwing the other one in the air but you have to make sure you catch the one you keep throwing in the air after you pick up a stone off the ground. You can’t drop it. You also have to keep the stones you already picked up safely tucked in your hand as well - Then after that round is done, you re-scatter the stones again & you do the same process but this time you have to pick up ‘TWO’ stones now - Repeat this same process with ‘THREE’ stones and then ‘FOUR’ - On the last one you throw all five stones in the air and quickly flip your hand and catch all 5 on the back of said hand. Then the last move is throwing them back in the air with the back of your hand and catch all of them exactly the same way the lady did in this episode That’s basically how you play the game, it’s pretty addicting
