No Arlong is NOWHERE near warlord level, but also the power systems are not so black and white and straightforward. Just remember what Mihawk said- the east blue is the WEAKEST of all the seas, the villains they encounter here are really weak

Completely agree, also think there isnt much competition in east blue either. Part of that is simply because its the first real arc of the show. But yes definitely not close on top 5. The purpose of my earlier comment was really just to manage expectations. If the poor geks go into this arc expecting world class greatness they are going to be left wanting more. Because they wont get that. If they go in with more realistic expectations i think they’ll love it and enjoy it for what it is. Just think sometimes people throw around the word “peak”. Its good. Dont get me wrong. But its not god tier as some of these comments would have them believe.

Personally I think it's just the best arc in East Blue, but not overall. Especially not if we're talking top 5. At least for me, if we ignore the sometimes bad anime pacing, Water7/Ennis Lobby, Thriller Bark, Sabaody, Marineford, Dressrosa, Wano and now Egghead top the Arlong Park arc any day.

Arlong park is good, but idk how some people are saying its one of the best arcs in the show when marineford, water 7, and saboady arcs exist and thats just within the first. 500-600 eps. Arlong park is good, but please please dont think its like this amazing incredible masterpiece that some of these comments would have u believe. You’ll just be left underwhelmed. Way better and more interesting arcs to come. The show is still building at this point and hasnt quite found its groove. But its getting there and this arc is a great part of that natural progression. But far from “the best”.

It's inconsistent all throughout. Oda does not care for power scaling. It personally does not bother me as it usually doesn't affect the main cast, but it is a weakness in relation to fights. The anime adaptation recently has not been making it any better: for the sake of longer cool looking fights, they end up making certain characters look more goated than they actually are.

How many episodes do you think it will take for them to say Usopp's name correctly? 🤣🤣 Usopp is an endearing character, meaning he might not be your favorite right now or even later on in the series, but he will hopefully grow on you as you continue to watch, as he did for me. And honestly he's like if you transported someone from our world to One Piece, I'd be freaking out too if I saw a giant shark man grab a house by its foundation and throw it like it's nothing.

I'm up to date with both the anime and the manga. Personally, I accept Usopp and I can appreciate his potential, but I don't particularly like him. So it's really not something that happens for everyone. I have friends who still can;t stand him just like I have those who love him, which I still struggle to understand.
