The timing is kinda perfect ICL. In 11 months, the OPLA s2 will air. The Geks should be around episode 320 by then, so they'll be able to watch OPLA s1 without spoilers. They'll also be able to appreciate and critique the live action as true fans! (imo reaching that arc is what certifies you as a one piece enjoyer)

Have you watched One Pace? They have every OST downloaded, and splice them together as seamlessly as possible. They don’t just cut the music out in the middle. I watched it when my roommate watched for their first time, and never noticed anything jarring. Jaya is so good, I think you will all like it a lot. I will also say that One Pace doesn't cut any lore out from Skypiea. I don't love being a One Pace merchant, but if I was watching only 4 episodes a week (don't blame you, your schedules are packed), I would have preferred One Pace for Skypiea. GREAT arc in the manga, good arc in the anime

Also adaptations arent inherently a bad thing, JJK is a clear example of its anime being better than the manga. Not saying that's the same case for One Piece, but the adaptation is nothing close to being bad. It enhances the story plenty of times.

The lore doen't get skipped in one pace. One pace tries to stay true to the manga the most and skips all the anime filler. That filler doesn't include canon lore

It's not that much of an issue tbh, One pace covers about 18 out of 24 episodes of skypeia, so they just have to watch those episodes in one pace and then switch back to regular one piece

PH is scheduled to be re-done in One Pace, but currently you save 470 minutes by watching it instead of the regular anime. I've watched through One Pace multiple times with friends getting into the show and I cannot imagine how insufferable it would be to watch the regular anime instead for those arcs.

I don't want them to watch One Pace to get caught up faster, I truly want them to enjoy it at their own pace, but seeing as bad pacing during alabsata has annoyed them before (which I personally thought wasn't that badly paced) I can only imagine it will irritate them even more during skypeia because the pacing is worse there in my opinion. I just feel like it would be better for their enjoyment and in turn ours to watch skypeia with one pace.

I would say one pace is def good for dress and FI. PH doesn’t have great pacing but it cuts out almost THE ENITRE FIGHT between S and Ver. One of the coolest animated fights and one pace cuts it all out cause it’s not manga canon 🤡🤡🤡

great react! pretty sure its been said in this comment section a billion times but just to throw my 2 cents in, in think one pace is totally valid for a certain 2 arcs (dress#### / punk###### and that stretch. maybe even the arc before that as well), and maaaaybe this upcoming big one. but other than that i totally think normal one piece is super doable. a lot of the one pace preachers are focused on catching up to that recent goodness, which is valid, but if your intention is to enjoy the journey, then normal one piece is fire

Doesnt anyone else feel like they should watch more episodes in a week of one piece? Like There are 52 weeks in a year and they watch like 4 episodes a week. In a year they would only be able to watch 208 episodes. Even just 6 episodes a week would be atleast 312 episodes. And its just 40 minutes more in a week. Then again i also started quite slowly and then at one point i got hooked and binged so much to catch up and now its living hell waiting for new episodes lol

Watch One piece normally for Jaya, then switch to One pace for Skypeia. One pace for skypeia isn't complete but covers about 18 out of 24 episodes of skypeia. So I would recommend to go back to regular One Piece after those 18 episodes

I say without. Experience it the original way and if you find it slow then switch. Imo one pace doesn't become relevant until later where the anime caught up to the manga and it was padded out to accommodate. Not til much later and reallyyyy noticeably. Using One pace imo Pros: faster, get through story without filler, manga accurate, lows are less low Cons: highs are less high, some emotional scenes don't hit as hard, music weirdness, some fun/funny moments missed Just my opinion though, I'll support whatever you guys do!

Maybe the best solution is to start Skypiea without One Pace and then if you feel like it drags out you can switch when you want. I'm a first time watcher and I watched it without One Pace. Yes, there are some slow parts but it's not that bad. I would love for you to experience the original version. After all, you are watching One Piece, not One Pace.

The direct guide to using One Pace for Skypeia. What you want to do is search for onepace.net, and it will take you directly to every arc in One Piece in chronological order. Scroll down to Skypeia and click on Skypeia with the best quality. It will then take you to pixeldrain.com, where you can watch all the episodes of Skypeia that they have. I just checked everything, and it’s not finished, but when you finish the last episode of Skypeia on One Pace that they have, go to episode 189 of the original anime to the middle of the episode where the mid cards start, and you’ll be exactly where you left off in One Pace. You will only have to watch the second half of episode 189 to episode 195, in the original anime and then you’re done with Skypeia.

Skypiea is the longest arc so far, I think using One Pace might be a good option here as it does drag here and there. However, I do recommend starting the arc with the OG and then when it starts to feel very slow or repetitive then I would 100% consider switching to One Pace, then switching back towards the end of the arc. Not sure if this will mess with the continuity but I think you should be good.

However, if they put extra info in the anime, you might? Not sure if that’s applicable here tho. That being said, i remember skypiea being quite a long arc, which is gonna take weeks to finish 😭 so maybe yes, do One Pace pls so we can at least skip the unnecessary/stretched shots and scenes and keep the pacing more enjoyable for both you and us
