About the split season releases I imagine some companies gotta do it to start recouping production costs. I'd prefer it all at once too but I'll take split seasons if it helps them maintain the gorgeous animation without burning out their employees

Action series like Dandadan and Sakamoto Days having 2 seasons of 12 episodes within months of each other were initially 1 season of 24 episodes but stumbled upon production issues and rebranded 2nd cour into 2nd season. Its pretty obvious with how they ended "season 1" in the start of a new arc. And even with extra time inbetween, not much is different behind the scene because they still struggled to finish on time. Honestly anime industry is quite sad.
