I don’t know, I definitely feel like it is deeper than that. Obito, the whole time he was down in that cave recovering, was thinking about getting back to Kakashi and Rin and being with them again. Wanting to grow stronger with Kakashi as the “ultimate tag team” and be able to protect Rin together. That was his whole drive for like a year. The only thing keeping him going and helping him recover faster. He had this whole view of the ways things would be once he got back home to his friends. And that all came crashing down when he comes across the moment his best friend kills the girl he loves. His sanity is literally shattered, which is why he claims he is in hell. He literally can’t comprehend how reality could have so different than what he had been dreaming of this entire time. I think that would break anyone. He was away from everything and everyone he knew for a year, down in the dark, his body hurt and weak, hearing a bunch of BS from Madara and Zetsu. He wasn’t in his right mind. So he was even more susceptible to a mental break. So him then declaring that nothing in this reality matters anymore, makes sense. I think both Nagato and Obito both have completely justified reasons for becoming villains. But I think I just feel more strongly for Obito. His backstory episodes are some of my top favorite episodes in all of Naruto. Nagato had an accumulation of a bunch of awful shit happening to him because of the war and eventually was tipped over the edge with Yahiko’s death. So his villain arc is completely justified as well. But again, it just didn’t hit as hard for me. And that is probably a hot take, but I stand by it. I can understand both sides of the argument on who is more justified, so I think it’s actually pretty even at the end of the day.

Ur not understanding the full concept of sharingan. Sharingan can only be used to its potential by only a uchiha. It's in there blood line. Kakashi isn't a uchiha so he doesnt have that special blood to be have certain think that true uchiha will. Next sharing use alot of Chakra. Even a base sharingan it self use a lot of chakra, thats y Kakashi doesn't use sharingan that often. Cause it takes pretty much all his chakra to even maintain sharingan. Next comes mangakyo sharingan which even more powerful that base sharingan. Which means it will require even a greater amount of chakra. Now to clarify you guys thought Kakashi and obito uses same sharingan and they did turn into mangakyo at the same time but the only reason Kakashi couldn't use it until later on cause he didn't have that vast amount of chakra needed to use mangakyo sharingan.

Everyone with with red hair could be potentially from Senju and Uzumaki bloodline. Hashirama's wife Mito was Uzumaki. Karin and Nagato are Uzumaki descendants so they could have Senju blood too if they were descendants of Hashirama. If Madara gave the Sharingan to Tsunade she could awaken the Rinnegan too. I always love to mention the symbolism related to Obito. In art, it's very common to depict people with only one eye visible, as a sign that they are incomplete. For example, Judas is often shown in profile because he is not a whole person. Since Obito took on the role of deciding who lives and who dies, he has always had only one eye visible. And when he turned around after the massacre to look at Kakashi over his shoulder, it was beautifully portrayed. Also, the symbolic moment where he couldn’t touch Rin at first—besides the fact that this is related to his Mangekyo Sharingan—also ties into the idea that, in his sin, everything pure slips away and is out of his grasp. By receiving the mask, he truly becomes what he once said he was: nobody. A person without an identity. And what hurts the most is the direct similarity to Naruto. They are absolutely the same—this is why this episode is so impactful, because we have the contrast between the lighthearted atmosphere at the beginning, and the absolute devastation at the end

By erasing free will and human desire (the desire to live in reality and achieve peace in reality), rejecting reality itself, and escaping INTERNALLY into a world of only dreams (infinite tsukuyomi), shinobi can reach true salvation. Free will leads to desire (to protect, to love) which leads to conflict (war) which leads to suffering. So the only way to truly end suffering is to erase free will itself. Nagato’s answer to the cycle of hatred was to turn hatred outward: his solution was to establish peace through fear and shared trauma, i.e. “those who do not understand pain will never know true peace.” Obito’s answer is to turn that hatred inward: his solution is for shinobi to escape out of reality and into illusion (this is essentially inverted Plato, i.e. escaping out of illusion into reality). His solution is to negate desire entirely. Nagato is the curse of hatred projected outward, and Obito is the curse internalized. This is why Obito’s ideology is so chilling: unlike Nagato (who wanted to reshape reality through fear), Obito wanted to abandon reality altogether.

While I agree specifically because I think Sasuke’s reasoning makes more sense to me, I think that as far as Obito goes, it’s important to remember that: 1. He’s young 2. While he wasn’t alone, he was essentially confined in a dark room with only good memories and hope for the future playing a loop in his mind. So seeing what he saw broke him and simultaneously convinced him of the futility of life, so embracing project Tsukoyomi made sense for his character. An all out war against the entire world is still crazy though.

I love this show, but it has that issue a lot. The "Zetsu Clones" are made of Hashirama's cells, but they were activated/given life by the Gedo statue's chakra. The reanimation is sorta weird but basically yeah its just a random body, and then you need some dna from the one to be reanimated. fun fact since nagato and kakashi had eyes that didnt belong to them they werent able to turn them off like the owners which is why madara could turn his mangekyo and then rinnegan and then go back to sharingan

the reason i love obito so much is that he gave up on living he was supposed to be a matyr for the better of the ones he loved but he was given a second chance and his only hope inside that cave for months or even years was to go back to rin and kakashi. and to see the only thing that kept him sane be taken from him is so sad. you can imagine how someone that goes thru that believes that this reality hes living is nothing but a naightmare, that a genjustu is the true reality

I just realized that even if Obito was manipulated, everything that happened after, whether he caused it or not, just continued to reaffirm Obito's beliefs about the world. Sort of like a feedback loop that only just exacerbated his nihilism. And before you can 'save' people like him, it would take A LOT. So it kind of makes sense they saved him till the end as a sort of the last villain if that makes sense.

madara gave his eyes to nagato so that he would be rinne revived since he cant rinne rivive himself. also remember how kabuto said that madaras reanimation was special well its special in two ways no1 is the hashirama cells, (he showed us hashirama's face on his chest) and No2 kabuto reanimated madara young since the normal reanimations are brought back at the moment of their deaths.
