I really love kizaru’s movements and fighting form in these episodes. Also don’t know if it’s just me that felt Kizaru had a really chilling presence, huge stature and a powerful ability but dopey and slow in demeanour & speech though as soon it came to anything to do with the rookies he said everything a man in his admiral position would say and knew every single name and bounty of the rookies he came across; Feigning ignorance but was here on business and did everything he attempted, competently and ruthlessly. It was great to see, and for the record I tend to not like most of the higher ups of the marines/WG including Kizaru because of what they stand for like McKay said, but Kizaru is fun to watch 😂 👁️👄👁️👓

Jack you are 100% wrong in the outro, seawater does not nullify devil fruit powers, we saw in Arlong Park that even when Luffy was at the bottom of the ocean they could still stretch his neck so he could breath. We also literally saw Aokiji riding a bike on the ocean and even put his hand into the ocean to freeze it.

Without spoilers, we can easily guess the current strongest people as well as how they can/ who can defeat them. Whitebeard is said to be strongest man. Mihawk strongest swordsmen. Shanks dueled Mihawk in the past, and dueled Whitebeard recently. then there's Smoker, Ace, Blackbeard, Crocodile, EnelAokiji, Akainu, etc who have incredibly powerfull devil fruits but there has already been shown atleast 3 methods of defeating logias: 1)with water or sea stone(for example Smoker's sea stone jute will nullify devil fruits wherever it hits) and so a sea stone sword for example could be used to fight any devil fruit. 2)with natural weaknesses(Enel's is rubber, Crocodile's water, blood,(other liquids maybe), and so on and if you think about it, you will find a weakness for any devil fruit ) 3)there's lots of special cases. fishman karate hurt luffy even though blunt attacks don't normally work; blackbeard's yami yami nullifies devil fruit powers; and we have seen that there's a way to knock people out without touching them; etc. and then ofcourse we have to think outside logias. there's powerful paramecias and zoans also. laws op op and kidd's magnet fruit could potentially be really opp and there's more we don't know so the possibillities are endless. there's probably a couple ways you can defeat even someone like Kizaru though admitedly it would be incredibly difficult

Here's a question for you! Crocodile can't fight water because he's "sand," right? Then how does he bathe?! Does he at all?! That's filthy!! Do you bathe, Odacchi? -by Crocodile's Mother ODA: First of all, let's discuss the problem of Devil Fruit users bathing themselves. People who have eaten a Devil Fruit are "hated" by the sea, and cannot swim. The "sea" here can refer to anything from rivers, pools and baths to any kind of standing water. On a worldwide level, they are all the "sea." When these people enter the water, not only can they not use their powers, they have trouble moving their bodies at all. They might be able to struggle a bit, but it wouldn't do much good. That's if their entire bodies are submerged in the "sea." With less than half the body or just the limbs, it gets easier. Also, rain and dripping water have no effect at all. Therefore, hip baths or showers are the most common choice. Now, in Crocodile's case, "water" is the weakness of his very powers, so his abilities are robbed even in the shower. In a more condensed explanation, it’s being submerged in any body of mostly water. Being at ankle depth is ok according to Oda, but any more submerge the user will start to feel weak and the feeling will get progressively get stronger the more submerged their body is. So it’s about not being able to swim which is meant to be the trade of for having such strange and capable powers.

Ok, here's a recap and a bit more explanation on how water affects Devil Fruit users. No spoilers! and stolen straight from the wiki! 1. Eating a devil fruit will make you unable to swim, regardless of what type. The user will become rapidly weakened rather than become instantly paralyzed and will have immense difficulty trying to stay afloat. 2. Just being wet is not enough to induce weakness and nullify the user's powers; the same is true for water inside the Devil Fruit user's body, such as water that the user drinks. 3. The vulnerability is not limited to seawater, as any sufficiently deep body of water can be considered an extension of the "sea." The water must be dense and enclosed enough to truly submerge a body: "scattered" water such as rain has no effects on Devil Fruit users, and they can shower without any hazard. 4. The exact parameters of the water weakness are somewhat fluid and vary by user. But broadly speaking, devil fruit users can submerge enough to safely bathe as long as their heads and at least some limbs remain exposed, though doing so still weakens them. 5. Any Devil Fruit user can move underwater at full strength if enough of their body surface is kept airtight, e.g. with makeshift diving gear. e.g. Luffy at the beginning of Jaya. 6. Some "passive" powers may still work even if the user is incapacitated: notably, Luffy, whose body turned rubber by the Gomu Gomu no Mi will remain so underwater, and can be stretched by outside forces. e.g. Luffy stuck underwater in Arlong Park.

i was also thinking about this, but was considering whether that has more to do with whether the products natural or not - that is to say that logia users are said to simply be their element, so while aokijis power created the ice, in the end its seperate from him, and just ice; whereas alvidas power is a product of her skin, the barrier seems to be part of her, and idk if theres a natural explanation for it or not. that being said i think that someone else also mentioned below (which im to agree with and dont remember if its been shown otherwise at any point yet) that it has less to do with the technicality of making contact with the users skin and more so with disabling the power surrounding the person regardless

I think you guys are a bit confused with how the sea water weakness works because of the Crocodile fight. Like Jack said, normally, you need to be SUBMERGED in sea water. For example, even when Luffy covers himself with water to fight crocodile, he is able to use his rubber powers just fine. Crocodile’s sand-sand fruit weakness is not sea water per se, it’s getting WET, because sand HARDENS when wet, and he no longer able to disperse himself. This is also why Luffy’s blood worked on him. So you can’t just carry seawater water balloons and expect to win a fight against devil fruit users. You see devil fruit users like Luffy and Chopper play on low tide beach water just fine, and Brook can even walk on water. Touching sea water is fine, you won’t be affected unless you’re submerged in it (swimming).

Seawater doesn't cancel the external effects of DF powers (as seen with Aokiji freezing the ocean) so Alvida being able to swim would depend on whether she's slick (therefore the water touches her and cancels her power) or oozing (therefore it doesn't)!

i understand the point they're arguing but in the end it really is one of those is water wet debates, bcuz sure u could say that the water may not necessarily touch her herself, but if shes submerged its coming into contact with the barrier that is her power, which could also (and most likely would, but i don't remember if this its been technically answered or not) be said to of course break through or disable it, as the barrier itself is a product of the devil fruit and submerged as well

Jack I felt bad for you lol at the end with Alvida. Yes, devil fruits simply don't work with sea water. So that means: the water WOULD touch her simply because in the presence of sea water, her powers don't work. It's wrong to think of it as "the water would have to touch her first". No. In the presence of sea water, her power is nullified, so the water WILL NOT simply glide past her. It's wrong to say "it will touch her and THEN her powers are nullified". No her powers are nullified because of the water, and therefore it can touch her. There are a lot of things in physics and chemistry in the real world, as I learn about them, that seem to not make sense at first. They're confusing. And...if you're thinking in the parameters of One Piece, it makes sense, though it may be a bit counterintuitive at first.

I know the live action sort of muddies the water on that. They have to be physically submerged to a certain level not just splashed. It only affected Croco because water was sands natural counter.
