Gosh man, Naruto is one of my favorite anime characters in existence. The kid just exudes love, tranquility, and intense determination. No matter what he goes through, he stays on his path. The tailed beasts all realized that in their limited interaction with him. That 3rd episode is so good. Can't believe Carter had to miss that one. Via Reddit: From a mathematical standpoint, the tailed beasts follow a perfect exponential power curve if you assume each one is as strong as all the ones before it combined. Starting with Shukaku (One-Tail) at strength 1, each successive beast doubles the total: Matatabi (1), Isobu (2), Son Goku (4), Kokuo (8), Saiken (16), Chomei (32), Gyuki (64), and Kurama (128). Now here’s the wild part—if you add up the combined strength of beasts Two through Seven (1 + 2 + 4 + 8 + 16 + 32), you get 63. Half of Kurama alone? 64. By this theory, half of Kurama is stronger than six other tailed beasts put together, which is why Kurama’s tailed beast bomb by himself was able to counter the one created by the other 5 tailed beasts. HALF. Because we saw in Kushina’s flashback that Minato sealed half of Kurama inside himself before dying via the reaper death seal, so Naruto only has the other half of Kurama. Think of the 9 tailed beasts sharing chakra from a pie chart. 1 through 8 of the tailed beasts gets a certain percentage from half of the pie chart and the 9 tails gets the whole other half of the pie chart worth of chakra. 8 tailed beasts equal up to 50% of that pie chart when the 9tails is 50% . Thats how some people explain the amount he has.
