The leveling up is sure crazy ngl. It's so crazy how many different abilites have been used against obito/ten tails like the amaratsu/rasgengan, not to mention the best bombs with sage jutsu, and also the big rasengans and others that i can't think of

Loved Cannon’s comparison between Pain and Obito’s talk-no-jutsu approach. I never thought about it that way, but I fully agree. It seems like Pain was less far gone than Obito, so Naruto explaining the book & his goals was enough. Obito had to see Naruto refuse to give up over and over to a point of frustration for him to consider rethinking his ways

In power rankings it’s crazy how the Leaf clears the top 10 before other villages get a sniff at breaking the GOAT list . I’d take peak Madara, Hashirama, Tobirama, Obito, Minato, Lord 3rd, Naruto, Sasuke, Guy, Orochimaru over anyone else accept maybe Onoki from other villages

Sets stage for the Ninja forces vs Mr. Aura farmer himself. I can tell you all didn’t like Obito’s villain to good change. It does come off as a reverse Daenerys change where “the pieces were always there if you believe enough” . The thing I did like about it that wasn’t mentioned was that it was only Naruto that could have brought him back. They were heavy on the theme of Obito being a “what if Naruto/a main character turned evil” and Obito has regrets because he could have been Naruto. A lot of analysis I won’t get into on this but I do think Kishimoto cooked writing Obito.

Personally, watching Cannon react to Shippuden from the beginning until now feels like witnessing W real character development. This is the kind of reaction I know some people were hoping for, and it’s exactly what the Naruto series delivers. You become attached to the values and the stories it tells, not just the hype or negativity part (obviously, it has ton of flaws) Its like you no longer watching for “who wins the fight,” you’re watching for why it matters from both villain and hero perspective. My sub is totally worth it. Thank you guys 🫶🏻

Something also to keep in mind regarding Obito, the trauma he faced in watching his friend kill the girl/person he loved most in the world was at 13/14 years old. That’s a very vulnerable age. And although eventually he learned the truth of why Kakashi did it, initially he didn’t know why. Getting back to Rin and Kakashi had also been his soul motivation to keep on living and getting stronger while he was being held captive by Madara for likely at least a whole year. Then after facing that trauma he continued to be used and manipulated by Madara who took advantage of the situation. He didn’t have anyone to step in and redirect his misguided thinking. And in the end he put a lot of the blame on his sensei for what happened. His sensei who became Hokage, what he used to aspire to be, but as he said to him, he was glad his sensei became Hokage because it made him realize it was a joke (essentially his words).

Absolutely love everyone locking in for these episodes, especially Cannon. What I love most about this channel is that you guys analyse everything, not just hype up and enjoy the action like most others. While most people call the Uchiha overreactors, it is important to remember that they have a biological reason for this as Tobirama explained. They feel emotion much more than everyone, whether it is love or hate and then they end up being defined by it. Same is true for Madara, Sasuke and Itachi. Obito is one of the most beautifully written tragic characters in anime. While most people just make fun of him calling him a simp, I totally get Cannon saying he feels for Obito even more than Pain because he’s a relatable character. These episodes take us through his exact thought process as he’s doing all this and we know that he’s just utterly broken inside. And I absolutely love Naruto’s line “I told you I’d tear that mask right off.” Such a powerful symbolism. Kishimoto was really cooking with his dialogue in the last part of this arc, with the hole in one’s heart being filled by others around them, which Obito failed to do by rejecting reality. And yes Cannon, majority will agree Obito vs Kakashi is the best fight in Naruto if not all anime, just so simple and meaningful. But don’t worry, we’ve got a couple very close contenders coming up as well. Love to see my fav reactors enjoying Naruto. ❤️ Missing Brig for this peak shippuden 😢

Seeing Naruto as Obito must be so unreal and frustrating, it's like everything you wanted to be looking you in the face and saying that your wrong. Obito never even considered that Naruto could get this far because Naruto is like his dream manifested and to acknowledge Naruto would basically mean admitting he was wrong but Naruto has kept fighting and evolving to the point where Obito can't just call him a naive fool anymore.

The writing nuance between Obito's and Pain's characters are very similar and yet so different, both are amazing but I do think Obito's is better imo. Love to see Cannon dive into that, I can tell he respects the inner themes/complexities of Naruto.
