I'm binging the last three Naruto uploads (this is my second), but I swear, re-watching the last few episodes (the Obito talk-no-jutsu bits especially) nearly bored me out of my mind until the focus went back to Madara and I was hyped all over again. Love that man, he’s a great villain. Carter going “Madara just has control of the plot, bro. He has the writer’s pen.” Felt very accurate 🤣

i don't understand the hate for the Sasuke theme its just a slide guitar in drop D. Westerns and Samurai film cultures blended and inspired each other back in the 60's and its really just a homage to the late great Akira Kurosawa, who without we wouldn't have things like Magnificent 7 (Kurosawas Seven Samurai), A Fist Full of Dollars (Kurosawas Yojimbo) so on so forth. Basically I'm just trying to say its not like its random and doesn't fit Sasuke as a charactor because Sauske is the ronin of the story and these cultures have been feeding off each other for sometime.

When Madara died he didnt have his eyes, they were in Nagato. Reanimated shinobi get all their stuff, but his alive body lacked the eyes. So upon coming back he lost all the reanimation benefits. and needs to get his OG eyes back

Insomnia is just an assumption made by Gamabunta but Gaara was born with dark circles around his eyes. Shukaku was sealed in Gaara while he was still in the womb so its chakra may have made his eyes look raccoon-like, similar to Narutos whiskers. It might also be genetic from Rasa

It's worth mentioning/reminding that Gaara's eyes look like that due to perpetual sleep deprivation because he was constantly terrified of falling asleep and letting Shukaku out. I mean, he's so averse to sleep that he had to use a jutsu to put himself under whenever he needed to use Shukaku. That's not eyeliner around his eyes; those are eyebags. And, even without Shukaku, you keep the sleeping habits you form in early childhood, so Gaara is likely cursed with lifelong insomnia. Makes it all the more heartwarming how they overcome their rocky past here though.

Remember when Kushina stayed alive after the kyuubi got extracted from her and after her getting basically impaled by its claw, even Minato died after that. So Gaara and the rest dying immediately after extraction while Naruto did not makes sense

The "fighting" writing in these episodes was so meh. Like did madara use the plot plot jutsu? Let's beat all the 9 strongest creatures in the world alongside all the kages (including hashirama) and the entire world's buffed shinobis to a madara without eyes. There was a time the entire rinnegan pain couldn't take out 9 tails. Let's make sauske fight like a literal npc. Amataratesu his clothes but not his naked body when he has no rinnegan? And what is it even buring if it can't get through leather. Swing his sword around like he is ten ten. Oh and let's freeze most of the characters in place. Naruto is one of my fav anime, but damn is the later part of the war arc written poorly.

Although it's true that a lot of villains in Naruto if not all of them have a similar arc, what I love about it is that is slightly more realistic in the sense that people aren't "good" or "evil" but rather are shaped by the environment around em. So I never thought of them as "going back to being good" but rather noticing that their life was suffering and pain inflicted to them and by them to others and it doesn't have to be that way.
