in regards to people asking for a marineford binge i think its also worth mentioning that its totally fair if you guys didnt want to upload it as a binge and still split the uploads up a fair amount so it doesnt just seem like a bid for more content, but simply to say the arc truly is better with more episodes per watch. ideally i think itd be best to start and finish it within the same week imo, which would also be much more reasonable than the number of episodes u guys pushed out during one piece week

Also, I just want say the idea of ANY members of the crew branching off and having their own story in the background would actually be insane! But if you think about it, Luffy’s first friend was Colby, not Zoro (my hot take that really shouldn’t be hot) and he kinda fulfills that role. If anyone leaves the main crew to do it, it was actually make the most sense/fun and have the most development for Ussop though so it’s a pretty good take imo

i know impel down is a divisive arc, and it does have a slow start, but it’s genuinely one of my favorite arcs for the reason carter mentioned. i love seeing luffy interact with a new/returning cast of characters (iva and bon are the best!!), especially with previous antagonists who are now on luffy’s side and working together for a prison escape, plus all the new lore we get; it’s just exactly what i love, but i understand it’s not for everyone, and the misplaced comedy moments can get to be a bit too much

Not that it's relevant to the take, but the original Thanos obsession with mass extinction was because he was in love with the cosmic entity Death. The resource reason for the MCU was to humanize the villain. Tangent, Deadpool was also in love with the same Death. The romance aspects from the MCU Deadpool movies take from that relationship in the comics. I do not recommend watching if not into crass comedy or nsfw content.

As we near PEAK id like to note that Marineford definitely has some pacing issues and slightly overrated episodes (when it comes to imdb ratings). He was a vice admiral at the time & he was the mysterious one in the cap who ordered the marines to destroy the evacuation ship which Aokiji didn’t approve & it prompted him to secretly allow Robin to escape. I love how the more the story unfolds you see the ripple effect of all the little things Oda planted. The world is very much alive in One Piece
