Gonna throw some predictions here so i can come back later. Might be wildly off the mark here. 1) I believe the mom would take lucy outside when she was young which is why she remembers the sun. 2) The "good vaults" that coops wife mentions refer to vaults like 31 that "manage" the rest of humanity. 3) Vault 31 engineers the blight and other catastrophes in order to control the other vaults. 4) The new overseer lady is a long-descendent of coop's ex-wife. She went into one of the good vaults (31?) when everything went down and the new overseer is also from there. 5) I think lucy's mom found out that the what was going on and escaped and husband and betty covered it up by saying she died. 6) Maldavere or whatever her name is definitely norm & lucy's mom.

It's so interesting that Vault Tec figured out they could use the end of the world as a marketing campaign. They made millions and put vaults all over the US. The lore behind Vault Tec gets pretty wild but I don't want to spoil anything that might come in the show since its my first time watching idk what topics to avoid. I'm honestly just glad the show is delving into more stuff about Vault Tec bc that's always been the most interesting aspect of worldbuilding to me in the Fallout games.

Vaults are so fun!! Yeah I also felt a little sick watching this one when I first saw it. I think the woman in the video was strapped down to the chair so she couldn't get out of the water. I think its so funny when that one guy smiles for an extended time at Maximus. He continually faces Maximus with a frozen facial expression as he walks past him. I have no proof, but it feels like that was intended to be a nod at how the npc's act when you pass by them but don't actually speak to them.

Don’t know if yall will care, but the reason the fallout universe feels like it’s set in the 50s but also has loads of advanced tech, is because in this universe after WW2, America (and the world) goes full send on nuclear technology and fission based energy.

I actually enjoy the dialogue in this show a lot. Very real and grounded but it also feels like regular people are talking and not a constant overacting slugfest.
