Thanks! This is around where I dropped Naruto and only binged just before the anime ended. i really did not like how it turned out.

I’m definitely no expert by any means so no one crucify me lmao. I know a people aren’t a monolith, but I’m pretty sure reincarnation is a really big belief in Japan and for a lot of their media, etc. so for it to be a big plot point makes sense.

A big part of the reason why I hadn't finished Naruto Shippuden previously was because every time we stary getting to any action we are thrust in a flashback. Some are good, but a good bit is very repetitive or not that important. I had originally stopped before they got to the Obito and Madara reveal. But, I knew more or less how it ended. But, I have enjoyed getting into it again even if some of the pacing does frustrate me.

Nooo they skipped Itachi's full backstory. I thought it was well done and they showed a lot of stuff we haven't seen before. Especially ep 455, which was so cinematic and well directed. One of my personal favorites.
