L world government, L evil pirates, Garp is stuck between a rock and a hard place, as are many characters. His grandsons are pirates and he’s on the other side of a war against them. Clearly the world government sucks in a lot of ways but also has the power to do good through their wide influence. Pirates in general lack any rules or structure it’s mostly just moral codes and people doing what they want so there is lots of good and bad, but mostly people doing what they want. ATP in the story the revolutionary army hasn’t been explained much but they are clearly trying to do good by the people. All in all Oda cooks with all the factions and people going in the world and the final saga is gonna cook.

Also I’m surprised no one has mentioned it here but BREAKING NEWS: One Piece has just announced that the Anime will now be going seasonal with a break from January to March 2026, resuming in April and then from now on will have only 26 epsiodes per year. Which is basically 2 anime seasons/cours. They will still be only adapting one chapter per episode becuase it’s too close to the manga still but the quality should be better.

Im telling you guys Impel Down and Marineford has atrocious pacing. Impel down by itself is dragged up to 16 more episodes than it should. In the one piece remake they are dropping this saga to less than half its original number of episodes. The pacing of this arc and marineford will destroy the hype you guys have right now, so i strongly suggest you guys one pace impel down and marineford, and pretty much the rest of the series.

Fun fact: Impel down is heavily inspired by Dante's inferno, which features a descent through multiple layers of hell. It actually was released around when the manga ended the next arc after impel down, so they should wait. Older Anime movies that reference main series stuff are usually going off the current manga, not the current anime, so please don’t compare release dates of the TV with the movie release date when reccomending the right time to watch a movie of a TV anime( at least for older shows like one piece, Naruto, MHA). However the canon bonus prequel chapter to the movie, ‘chapter 0’ which lead up to the movie came out in a few months earlier at the same time as chapter 565, which is the equivalent of episode 474. So I’d say once the boys reach 474 they can watch the Strong World movie and ‘Episode 0’ (adaption of chapter 0) without any ounce of alluding to spoilers. Ps. To any geks reading, watch episode 0 before the movie, it sets up the movie and released before it. Sorry for the yap, i keep seeing people recommending them to watch now ever since the end of thriller bark so just wanted to explain that it’s too soon
