Impel down is one of my top 5 arcs, the humor, the overall stakes, and the twists and turns, you’re in for a wild ride by the end. The only complaint is that it is somewhat slow at times. Just try to enjoy the ride cause once this part of the story is over and behind you, you’ll miss it in the end.

I’ll always say they should have watched the English dub. While Luffy is better in the sub, I prefer every other character in the dub overall. Buggy and the wardens are way less funny in the sub, and can easily understand why the guys are getting annoyed with the slow jokes.

IMO Impel Down is much better than the Kuja Island part right before it. It is certainly controversial but I like it better than Marineford. For some of the reveals and fights I think it's just better paced and has enough reveals to make it the more interesting to me. Also the final was more emotional to me but I didn't get attached to some characters than others.

Impel Down is pretty universally liked, actually! It's just that everyone has pretty similar top 3/5 arcs and Impel Down usually isn't one of them, so you won't hear much about it, but I feel like this arc was enjoyed by almost everyone.

Current Manga Spoilers I'm assuming that Captain John's treasure is what he took from GV. The fact we saw him 2 arcs ago and even knew about the treasure via Buggy before then, is pretty cool. Also Shiki mention is crazy, totally forgot they mentioned him. Gotta give Oda his praise, the mans bag work is undeniable. Over a thousand chapters and he's like lets connect that treasure buggy was looking for, back several hundreds of chapters ago to right now.

You guys have to understand that One Piece have terrible pacing on purpose because Oda was still writing the manga and they would catch up fast. This has been a problem for long shonens like One piece, naruto, bleach, etc. The difference with Naruto and Bleach is that while the pacing is better, the shows are filled with filler episodes. These filler episodes were terrible back when they were still airing because it would last months or even a year. One piece avoided this by sticking to the main storyline, but instead of useless fillers, they just made the pacing slower so oda can keep writing.

The pacing in this arc is absolutely atrocious but the arc overall is pretty good, and I think it would be better with one pace but either way I'm not too fussed. That being because this arc feels like all the little cogs that Oda placed in the world start moving and just sets up for some amazing world building and story telling. *SLIGHT SPOILER BELOW* . . . . . . . . . . . . . Also this arc is only gonna take another 6 weeks to finish and we'll be starting peak in the middle of december right in time for christmas so I'm happy.
