I really liked the Obito and Kakashi fight. While Sakura isn't my favorite character, I do think she has grown in power. Her obsession with Sasuke is annoying. It's clear she doesn't fully trust him, but I think she's just hoping he won't leave again. I definitely think Sasuke has a lot of redemption and also apologies to make. Excited for Friday's drop.

After being spoiled by the epic hand to hand stuff in Naruto I sometimes can’t help but wish for even something slightly close to this level of choreography from the bigger anime we got now like My Hero. Back when they originally fought, Minato marked Obito thinking he was fighting Madara. By teleporting to THAT SAME mark, Minato thought he’d be going to Madara to stop the rinne rebirth. Which is why he was shocked bc the person who essentially caused his death was his own student.

An important detail that you might’ve missed is that Sakura was keeping chakra continuously for three years in her “reserve” so that she can activate the seal. So what we’ve seen her do up until now in Shippuden was her using less than a 100% of her power. I truly do not understand any hate for her now besides the fact that people just refuse to acknowledge support powers (even though she isn’t just supporting them by healing, she’s also fighting). She healed Naruto enough so he can do all of the things you praise him for. I mean, you have the First Hokage literally saying she might be stronger than his granddaughter, but still there is hate for her? When there isn’t such hate for Tsunade. She doesn’t have a special clan and inherited powers, nor a beast in her, but she’s standing in the frontlines and is healing literally everybody. She can do what Tsunade does without being a Senju. Saving lives is as equally as important as destroying the enemies. And using past character arcs that she’s overcome as an argument isn’t saying much. It’s limiting to refuse to acknowledge her growth simply because you decided not to like her. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been a fan since it released so I’ve seen my share of hate for her. Leaving such long comments trying to explain to you is exactly because I like your reactions and I wish you could try to see a character for what she currently is. Also I’m very pissed that the studio didn’t draw Sasukes’ smile at her when she punched those things, in the manga it was much more obvious.

Obito and Kakashi’s hand-to-hand fight is one of the best anime battles, and I think everyone should see it at least once. I really enjoy how their fight show the differences and similarities between their younger and older selves. I love both characters, and a big reason why Naruto is so special, aside from nostalgia. The show lets us see every side of its characters—heroes, anti-heroes, and villains—and helps us understand where they’re coming from. I relate to some of the characters(like Naruto & Sasuke) because I’ve felt lonely, wanted revenge, or thought the world was against me, even though I know those feelings aren’t always right. People often say to forgive and forget, but it’s not that simple. So many characters in Naruto fit into these different categories. That’s also why I love anime: it teaches life lessons in a way that, for me, goes beyond what most TV shows do.

When Sakura said she finally caught up, she didn't mean it literally like she is on the same level as Naruto and Sasuke in terms of fighting prowess (who is, really), but more so that she is no longer someone that needs to be saved by them anymore. She caught up by not being a liability and being able to fight her own battles like Naruto and Sasuke. This is the interpretation I've seen and the one I agree with the most. It makes sense that Sakura would believe this, given who her character is.

@JACK, Gamakichi was not tiny when we last saw him. He's significantly taller than Naruto during the Pain vs Naruto fight, Gamakichi is like 5x taller than him if he stand straight. During Naruto's iconic sage mode entrance, Naruto was standing on top of Gamakichi while Gamakichi was standing on top of Gamabunta. There's even a scene where Gamakichi grabbed Tsunade to bring her to Sakura, He only used ONE HAND to grab him, That's how big he was.

Cannon I feel like I have a pretty good understanding of the visual with obito controlling the ten tails. His ultimate goal was to become a god and similar to fmab you have to remove all earthly attachments in order to achieve that power. That’s why he was losing control. The visual starts out with himself already torn because he completely lost his own identity through being madara. However obito cares too much about rin to let her memory die so he fought that power and in a sense is more himself then ever while controlling that power. At least that’s what it means thematically imo

What’s cool is that as early as the cover of Chapter 4, Naruto is shown standing on a toad, Sasuke on a snake and Sakura on a slug, which was many chapters before the Sannin were introduced. These animals aren’t random choices. In Japanese folklore, Jiraiya uses toad magic, Tsunade uses slug magic and Orochimaru uses snake magic. So Kishimoto was hinting at the connection between Team 7 and these three, as well as their future summons on that early cover

The sound design, the music, the lack of dialog, the animation, the flashbacks, the characterization through their moves, the choreography, the battle for their ideals, the emotional weight, the symbolisms ,the hand to hand as well as flashy abilities ,the narrative closure, everything is a 10/10. this fight is PERFECT from a cinematic point of view

Just a little info for you guys that mark on Tsunades and Sakuras forehead is the key to their forbidden jutsu. They have to continuously pour chakra into that spot for 3 years straight all the while putting chakra aside for them to use in fights and to heal. So the reason why Sakura always seemed lacking is because she was constantly pouring chakra into that spot on her forehead to master that jutsu. The technique itself requires genius level of chakra control to even accomplish it.

And also him saying “All I can give you is DEATH” thinking about everything Kakashi had been through to be able to say that gives it so much weight

I’m kinda biased and got the pain fight over this for specific reasons, but yall know what’s next… besides looking forward to the future, this fight is in so many’s people top 3 anime fights period, and I think it’s perfectly justified. I never seen a hand to hand fight so choreographed in anime while having so much weight behind it, I just love it so much and it’s probably my most watched Naruto clip if I really think about it 😅

It’s crazy when you realize that the second half of 375 was just Obito clinging onto life; while simultaneously fighting for control over his own body to counter Madara’s Rinne-rebirth jutsu, while also performing a sealing jutsu to turn himself into the 10-Tails jinchuriki.. all without even having a heart in his body. Obito’s willpower is insane and Hashirama cells are truly undefeated.

Yeah you can’t take Sakura’s comment literally. It’s more “I can fight WITH them without them having to protect me now”, not “I’m at their power level”. And this entire time, she hasn’t been at full power because she’s been diverting part of her chakra into the seal. And it’s such a shame that Studio Pierrot changed the manga panel, because in the manga Sasuke is shown smirking after Sakura’s earth shattering punch but the animators changed it so his arm is covering his face and took away his line (which the dub actually includes). Once again changing his character’s facial expressions and making him seem so nonchalant about everything, it’s such a disservice
