People don’t hype up Impel Down as an arc imo because, while it is clearly a definite standalone arc, it’s more of spotlight on Luffys reaction to the events leading up to Marineford. Essentially it’s a part of Marineford but obviously we aren’t going to spoil anything about the continuity of the story just for the sake of a label lol. Also, think about the actual pacing. Count how many episodes it took from Luffy learning about Ace being in jail at the end of Amazon Lilly to the first time he steps foot in Impel Down. That’s not exactly slow when you consider the magnitude of what’s happening.

Just gonna drop this here since a twitch openings reaction post isn't there. I would highly recommend you guys use episodes that have that opening when watching openings for the first time if there is not an official upload on youtube. The reason is most unofficial ones will say "60 FPS 4K" and that means the intro will look way off from how it should and will likely lessen your impression of it. The short answer is, the actual show is not 60fps so when these people modify it to be 60fps the animation pacing is broken. It's so broken youtube doesn't even recognize it which is why these are a common copyright workaround. If you want the technical breakdown, they double the frames by interpolating the existing 24fps frames which means that every new inserted frame exists where the previous frame would have still existed on frame longer. Imagine for 30fps that means in one second if there are 60 intervals, each frame lasts 2 intervals, and these interpolated 60fps upload replace that second interval of each frame, with a new frame that is an approximation of that frame and the next frame. What this does visually is create a green light/red light effect where the animation constantly looks like it is moving really quickly and then suddenly slowing, over and over. That's because these new frames are showing part of the next movement of the animation 1/60th of a second sooner on each interpolated frame. Now anime is not 30fps but 24fps which means it's even more butchered when they do this. The animation is literally jumping ahead. Maybe some people's eye are less sensitive to it but I feel like it butchers the quality of animation work whenever it is used. The effect is so jarring for me that I struggle to watch these without my eyes hurting. For fun you guys could even do a comparison of your own to see if any GEKs really notice the difference between a youtube 60fps edited reupload, and an original OP from an episode. You may be surprised how noticeable it is when you compare to the original animation flow. Anyways that's my rant, I hope a GEK at least sees this and you guys are aware of it, but if it continues with the other ones it is what it is and no hard feelings. I'm not mad, just doing my due diligence to inform for quality sake of the channel and to improve both the communities and your guys' experiences.

In regards to some questions you had during the reaction: 1. Ikemen is not just "cool dude". It's more like a specific type of guy: young, handsome, kind of "pretty boy" energy. Think Gojo (JJK), Sasuke (Naruto) or Shoto (MHA). You wouldn't call someone like Bakugo, Naruto or Geto Ikemen. It's more like a Timothée Chalamet vibe irl. 2. I noticed Jack's face when Jinbe/Jimbei talked. His original VA, Daisuke Gōri, sadly passed away in 2010 shortly after taking the role. So his VA will change in the upcoming episodes. 3. Ramen doesn't literally mean "Chinese noodles". It's really just the japanese noodle dish itself. The noodles are called "chūkamen" (Chinese-style noodles). Ramen came from Chinese wheat noodle soups (mostly Cantonese-style) and was first sold in Yokohama’s Chinatown in Japan. So they're probs like fusion food. 4. Cats only seeing in black and white is a myth. They do see colors, but just like Jack guessed, less vibrant. I once heard their vision is kinda like someone with red-green blindness. 5. As the story goes on, the WG and Marines are shown in an increasingly negative light. It’s understandable that people question why someone as powerful as Garp stays in such an organization, especially when Luffy and his son clearly wouldn’t. Personally, I like Garp. He’s not perfect or necessarily admirable, but he feels like a genuinely good person trying to do the right thing within a corrupt system. He seems to believe that staying inside and helping people directly is the best way he can make a difference. 6. I know it’s been mentioned a lot already, but seriously, please consider watching One Piece Film: Strong World (or at least Episode 0) before Episode 517. Shiki is a canon character, and the movie adds important context that ties into the main story. The other movies aren’t essential, but Strong World definitely is (manga readers will know). Feel free to correct me if I got anything wrong and the unboxing was gold (esp the shirt). I really love this community 😌

Been around from the early days when it was just Attack on Titan and I dont really comment here and just tend to enjoy your releases, but have noticed fewer releases in between and more promtion toward the gaming/streaming side of things, which are fine and has its audience, but speaking for myself and assuming many others here that are from way back; were not really here for the twitch and that side of things, hope you stick with your roots and not change too much for the sake of "progression".
